Other reviews are right about it being a bit sticky and tangling but for me it’s only like that while it’s still drying. Once it dries after a few more seconds it’s fine. Bc of the stickiness it did tangle my hair a bit but that’s what a hair brush is for. After brushing it’s was perfectly fine and it smells sooooo good. I’m sure you could avoid the stickiness on dry hair too by applying it on wet/damp hair and blow dry.

This left a waxy film on my hair, made my hair so tangled that I can't get my fingers through it and made my hair extremely frizzy. I do not recommend this product and it will be going straight into the garbage. Do not waste your money!

It just made my hair really sticky, regardless of how wet my hair was before I applied it. It worked pretty much for big curls, but they weren’t touchable.

This heat protection has saved my hair. I used to curl my hair everyday, because I am insane, but I nearly lost all of my hair to it. I started using this and it makes my hair so soft and i havent had any damage, and I will be honest I still curl my hair 5/7 days a week.

I have thick hair and this made my hair feel so dry and sticky. Due to the sticky feeling it also causes my hair to get tangled even though I brushed my hair before applying. Would NOT recommend.

I was excited to try this - and when I did, it made my hair knotted, it acted almost like a glue, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone really. It was sticky and made me hair feel ashy. Weird, pungent smell also.

It makes my hair feel knotted. I have type 2c/3a hair and this has to be the worst heat protectant spray again. At least with one that doesn’t work and is cheap, they don’t make my hair feel like I just got out of the ocean. It’s like they accidentally packaged texture spray in heat protectant bottles. I expected way more from chi.

I have baby fine colour processed hair. I have just started using Chi Iron Guard. I am impressed thus far with the protection it provides. My hair tends to fry easily even with low heat. No damage at all with use the past couple of weeks. Thank you! The product did not weigh my hair down at all and I can go two days without a wash and condition.

This smells so good! It reminded me of how my hair smells and feels after leaving a salon. It also added shine to my hair and protection. I like using it with my damp hair, but you can use it with dry hair, too if you curl or straighten your hair.

Hair Type: 4B/4C. Full/Thick Medium length. The results; seem more like a hair spray for the 90s, used to tease the hair and keep it stiff. And it made my hair feel hard, brittle, and dry. I think more of my pulled out because of it.

I used to have very thick, healthy hair. After using this for two months, my hair has thinned considerably and is very damaged. I didn’t realize that this was the issue until my hairdresser mentioned my hair thinning, and I told her I had begun using this. I threw it away as soon as I got home, and my hair has felt much better since I stopped using. DO NOT BUY THIS.

I only like this product because it protects my hair from my heating tools (or so it claims to, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt in that area), other than that, it’s terrible for my hair. I let my hair air dry so I only apply this on dry hair. From the moment it goes on, it feels heavy. It makes my hair very tangled so trying to come the product through is difficult. It then somehow managed to leave my hair feeling sticky and this is all before I even use the heat tool. Once I’m done heat styling my hair, it is rough, very tangled and sticky. The tangles, by the way, don’t go away after brushing hair, they manage to return and it is really frustrating. Doesn’t leave hair feeling clean either. Smell is nice. Don’t recommend this.
