    My beloved heat protectant is no more

    Could you please consider changing the formula of the Chi Iron Guard back to the old formula? The Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate causes people with fine, wavy hair to become hard, tangle, and break, which does not seem to be the intention. I have been using Chi products with great pleasure for over 15 years, but I can no longer use the Chi Iron Guard heat protectant because of this.

    Would recomemmend for fine hair

    I really like this heat protectant. It was recommended by my stylist and it works well. I have very fine hair, and will oftentimes use this in the morning on dry hair before curling it with my flat iron. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. I spray it, give it a few minutes and then brush it and then heat style. Would definitely recommend.

    Sprayer problem

    I have 2 8 oz cans of 44 Iron Guard style and stay that are half full and will not spray. I have tried clearing the cap without luck. I like the product but I m paying for half the amount. Note: the new caps seem to work very well so far!

    Awful, sticky, mess!! Pretty sure its just a high hold hair spray.

    Would give zero stars if I could. This is nothing more than hair spray. Makes your hair hard, sticky and like hay. Worst product I’ve ever used in my life. I seriously dont understand why it has any positive reviews.

    Horrible

    Was recommended this and am absolutely not happy about it. Would not recommend this to anyone. It smells great, but it left a very heavy residue in my hair. I have thin hair but a lot of it and this just absolutely weighs down my hair like a ton of bricks. It feels as if I put hairspray in my hair and then combed it out if that gives you an idea, like it feels dirty. I don't know how anyone uses this stuff but now I'm stuck with a product I cannot use.

    I will always use this product before styling.

    After applying glazing gel, I spray this on my hair. It helps activate curl and if I style with an iron, it protects from the heat.
