10/10 recommend for kids and adults !! Comes with everything you need and there is more than enough candy and frosting to decorate. I really liked that the frosting was a bit thick so the pieces stick together nicely but its still good to decorate with. There was more than enough icing, we even used the icing from this kit for another one. Our base did come split in half but we just plopped some icing on there and stuck it back together! I like that everything is not only edible but quite yummy. I had to stop myself from eating all the lightbulb candy lol. I also loved that this isn't traditional gingerbread but instead sugar cookie, much better in my opinion. I know must of us dont actually eat these but it's nice to know it tastes good if I did choose to eat it. I would definitely recommend you but one or two of these to make with your kids or just on your own :)

Cute but I’ve got a lot of complaints. My cookies were all stuck together and so the roof cookie broke. The cookies themselves taste bad. lol There isn’t enough white icing. I only got a handful of trees so I did the best I could. I had to pull from my own decorating stuff like extra candy and icing. I dunno I had high expectations for this kit cause it’s target. lol Oh well, we still had a lot of fun playing with it. I guess it’s a blessing it tastes bad. 😆

My kids begged me for this thing, and I read mixed reviews so initially steered clear, but they kept asking so I caved, and I’m so glad I did! I had read other reviews saying the icing that comes with it didn’t hold well so I made my own normal gingerbread construction icing, and it all worked great! The kids loved the dog and cart and whole thing so much, and it is truly cute as can be! BTW, our first one had 3 of the big pieces broken, but we exchanged it with no issues. It may be worth peeling to make sure the pieces are all intact before leaving the store, though!

I mean… the whole situation was the most stress filled and laughable time. Why do I do one of these every year? Not for the taste cause it’s not good. It’s not an easy task and your kids and yourself will need help… and lots of patience. There was laughing there was crying there was actual screaming haha. But the memories? Eh worth it. Will I suffer through the “I’m about to throw this across the room” again? Or the crying? Haha yeah. Anyways don’t expect something amazing, or some masterpiece. It almost never looks like the picture on the box. Do it for the laugh and the sugar buzz cause your kids keep licking everything. Anyways none of my pieces came broken and I bought 3.

I liked the cart and the dog! The frosting was a little hard to work with but a warm bath should make them easy to work it.
