Thumbs up: 1) it's big so my girl could understand that Texas is a big state and Maine is the easten most.Otherwise, It was difficult to explain in a map. 2) We paid 8 dollars so the quality is good . Thumbs down : 1) Eastern states are not in separate pieces. Puzzle doesn't have 50 states separately. Personally for me I wanted her to explore those states because those aren't seen clearly in a map. 2) I wish they have shown Alaska at top.

The puzzle is too big and it is hard to play with. The design is cute, but I’m returning this.

My son started doing this puzzle when he turned 3. He still likes some help but I’m impressed on how well he remembers where states go! My only comment is that the nation’s capitol isn’t called out!

My 6 year old and built this puzzle 3 or 4 times in the 3 days since Christmas. He loves it! The state-shaped states are so fun! The smaller eastern states are lumped together on some pieces, but it has to be that way or they’d be the tiniest pieces ever haha. It’s well designed and good quality and fun again and again.

I have been looking for a map puzzle for my son for quite a while. I wanted to have 50 pieces, a puzzle piece for every state. When I saw this in the store, I was so excited! On the box it says 50 pieces and that the pieces are state shaped.. unfortunately 14 pieces of the puzzle are just the border of the puzzle. There are only 35 pieces of the states, which means some pieces are combined. Also, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire are all on the border. I should have looked at the box better, I just saw 50 pieces and didn’t realize that the border was also included in that. I’m not sure what the 50th piece is. I’ve counted 35 state pieces and 14 pieces for the border...maybe the box is the 50th piece? Anyway, I like how colorful the map is and will keep it since it was $8, it just wasn’t what I thought it was :-)

Ever since I gave this to my 2 year old daughter, she has been asking to “play puzzle” with her at least once a day everyday with this one! She absolutely loves it and I can’t believe how quick she got the hang of knowing what each state is and where it goes without looking at the box!

My son loves this puzzle. It’s a little more challenging than the standard puzzle but he is getting the hang of it. The illustrations are bright and fun. Great introduction to the states.

It says its sold out but i found 2 boxes of this puzzle at my local target and bought it for my 4 yo son who loves puzzles. Until now hes been doing your standard cut puzzles for kids. We bought this and its turned out to be the perfect step up- challenging but easy enough for him to figure it out with practice. The first time I showed him how to organize the pieces by colors and also to first do the edges. I still have to give him some hints or encouragement but he loves that its not just easy as 1-2-3 and hes gotten better everytime! :) Love the colors and size. Overall definitely recommend! So cute and colorful :D

Absolutely gorgeous illustrations and colors, and makes for such an effortless introduction to geography. My 2.5 yo is still grasping the idea of jigsaw puzzles but this type of jigsaw puzzle came naturally to him, because of the unique shapes of the states. The first time we played it we spent almost an entire hour piecing them together and talking about the different states. I wish this was more widely available so I can recommend to all my friends.

Love Love Love!!! This puzzle should have easily been $5 more expensive for what it is. Huge thick pieces and bright illustrations.
