This brand, though inexpensive, used to actually work well. I used to get many compliments on my hair colour. Ever since the changed formula, it's complete garbage. Either your hair turns orange if you try to go light or black if you try to go brown. My once medium brown hair is now black and greasy and dry at the ends with one application. Only use this colour if you want to destroy your hair! You're better off flushing your money down the toilet and shaving your hair off instead of using this horrible coloured gunk. And it doesn't cover grey. Goodbye, Clairol.
I have used Nice and Easy for my hair for many years. It works the best for me. Its reasonably priced and easy to use. Being that my hair is actually gray now I have found this color to work better than the colors with the gold highlights that give too much red tint. Super happy that I have found something that looks more natural at my advanced age. I wish it would last longer but my hair grows out fairly fast and I have to redo it every 6 weeks or so. I worried it would affect my hair negatively but after using it for 40 years my hair is still holding up well.
For many years I've been using Nice'n'Easy Light Caramel Brown and people often commented on the lovely colour of my hair. A while ago Clairol changed the colours so I stocked up, and have only just run out. Clairol told me that the "Light Mocha Brown" is the same colour, but I tried it and it looks AWFUL. Very dark, and NO red tones at all. I had to buy a hair lightening kit to put in lighter streaks until I can colour it again. Now I will have to try other colours until I find one I like. So annoying.
I am in agreement with the other reviewers! Please don’t discontinue this line! Perfect 10 is the only line that not only does such a wonderful job in color (and how my hair feels afterwards), but minimizes aggravating my sensitivities. With other color products (even in the Clairol family) my asthma is aggravated, and my scalp feels tender afterwards. Not so with Perfect 10. Please reconsider! (Going to the salon is not an budget line option...). The darkest brown #3 has been a lifesaver for me.
I have used the burgundy shade on my hair tonight and it’s now the darkest it could possibly be without being black! I’m devastated, there are no tones in my hair at all, I have a Lego head! Avoid at all costs, I will never use this brand again
