submitted by Bryan - 4 months ago
  • A: WHAT?!?!?! That is what i can currently aford rght now! This is VERY UPSETTING as I have cornea issues and other brands have gone up in prices anywhere from $3-$5 from 2 yrs ago! UUGGHHHH!!!!!

    submitted byIm4Real - 2 months ago
  • A: Unfortunately, yes. I just finished a chat with Target through the app. They will no longer sell this product. If you miss it as much as I do, let Target know.

submitted byVeggienae - 4 months ago
  • A: I just let them know. I'm dissapinted that Target no longer has this - best bargain in town.

submitted byRP - 3 months ago
  • A: There's probably a problem in that the actual manufacturer doesn't want to private brand it to Target anymore. The Walmart version is also not available.

submitted bypapyrus - 1 month ago
  • A: Same with the Equate brand, not sure what's going on with the supply. Check Walgreens, they still have thier brand at close to the same price as Up and Up.

submitted byMike - 16 days ago

Q: Is this product intended to be used daily or less frequently, such as once per week? The box does not specify.

submitted by JC in Santa Fe - 8 months ago
  • A: I use it daily, every night.

    submitted byIm4Real - 2 months ago

Q: Can this be used with gas permiable hard lenses?

submitted by George - 9 months ago
  • A: Yes, Ive been using it for 2 yrs since the brand I use went up $3-$5 more than it used to be. This is a lot more affordable AND works just as good as the expensive stuff.

Caused Eczema

CMS - 3 months ago, Verified purchaser
I have been using this solution for years without any issues. In May 2023 I bought another box that caused me to have eczema all around my eyes. It took me and two doctors months to figure out what was causing it. I assumed it wasn’t related to the solution because I had been using it for so long without any issues. It was only after I switched to the name brand that the eczema cleared up (and did not return). Right about the time I made the connection, I noticed this product was no longer being sold. Was there an issue with the batch I was using? Target customer service has not been helpful with the issue.

I am sad that Target does not seem to be carrying this any more. I have been using this for years with my hard lenses and have never had issues with cleaning or burning or the baskets breaking. In fact I like the up and up Target brand because it is preservative free and the clear care with hydroglide irritates my eyes. I would recommend this especially if you have hard lenses it cleans well and I have never had to rinse after.

I have used up and up multi purpose solution for years and was recommended to switch by my eye doctor. This solution works great, I don’t love the case though the gaps in each side makes it hard to out the contact in and get it out. Unfortunately I think I’ll have to buy the name brand if I continue with the deep clean solutions

Stick with Clear Care

Phenomenon - 6 months ago, Verified purchaser
I've tried pretty much all the store brands. They all fail in one critical area - the contact lens case. Target's is better than the others', but not as good as Clear Care's. I got a lot more ripped lens than usual with it. I went back to Clear Care now that it's finally back in stock.

Michelle - 7 months ago
My husband started buying this because it was cheaper than clear care and a lot of the time target didn’t have it in stock. I’ve been ripping contacts like crazy and I originally thought I had gotten a bad batch. Turns out my husband has been having the same problem. I went through a 6 month supply in 3ish months, I am one of those bad people that use my contacts for more than 2 weeks and I’m lucky if I can even go 2 weeks now. Horrible case! So many rips! I’m over it and going back to the expensive stuff. Contacts are expensive to begin with so it’s not worth it.

BURNING MY EYES EVERY USE!!

1 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Lrc - 8 months ago, Verified purchaser
I thought I’d save a bit of money using this over the name brand. But it is definitely not the same. My eyes BURN no matter how long I leave the contacts in the solution (6+ hours obviously). I never have this issue with the name brand. The generic brand does not do a good job of cleaning the contacts either, I can usually tell they’re still dirty. Just go with the name brand and save yourself the pain.

THIS STUFF SUCKS, doesn’t clean as deep as ClearCare, makes contacts slippery, and my eyes burn when I put in my contacts after use occasionally. This stuff is trash compared to clearcare, thought I was getting a bargain.

Stick with the Name Brands

SD MOMMY - 9 months ago
I tried this because I needed a quick bottle since my name brand one ran out. It did a decent job cleaning, but left a film on my lenses that irritated my eyes. I followed the directions and left them in for 6+ hours, as I did with the name brand... but I had to take an extra step in the mornings and rinse with a saline solution just to make sure there wasn't any film left before putting them in.

I’ve used the name brand version of this product for years with no issue and it’s not worth switching to save a few bucks. I usually love Up and Up but this solution is inconsistent with fully diluting to safely put in your eyes after 6 hours. It’s fairly simple to use: use their case, fill up solution and leave to clean for at least 6 hours. I’ve had experiences where it still burned my eyes after and had to remove my contacts immediately and other times, it will sting my eyes for at least a minute after rewearing my lenses. The name brand was consistently fine after 6 hours. It also cleans better (no fog or blur spots during the day as opposed to that happening occasionally with these.) Stick with the name brand.

Basket design is sub-par

3 out of 5 stars
Annoyed - 10 months ago, Verified purchaser
Contact baskets are too big. On more than one occasion, my contact has ended up bent so I can't even fit it to my eye. The Clean Care baskets hold the contacts in place better, and one well-designed case may be worth the extra purchase price if I have to replace my contacts sooner than I should given I can't fit them back into my eye.
