The CDR 835 is Cobra’s newest and most user-friendly dash cam. It includes a two-inch LCD screen, ultra-wide 160° viewing angle and embedded G-Sensor to automatically save and protect clips if an impact is detected. All Drive HD models include an eight-gigabyte memory card, vehicle power adapter, and windshield mount — so units are ready to use out of the box. Installation is simple: first, place the camera on the windshield with an easy-to-use suction cup mount. Next, plug the unit into the vehicle’s cigarette lighter adapter. When power is applied, the unit automatically turns on and starts recording — no complicated configurations needed.

Sadly, 4 weeks after I received this camera, I was involved in an accident on the freeway where the other driver fell asleep. After hitting me on the drivers side, he slammed into the center median (about 80 MPH) then back in front of me. The angle of view on this camera caught it all.
