This is not family friendly and a giant mess due to the oil. Will be going back to Paas next year. This should say "uses oil" on the front of the box. Now I have to wipe off these eggs or it's going to be all over the house. Disappointed.
No thank you.

Would only be good for older kids, teenagers, adults. Not toddler friendly 🥴 tablets took forever to dissolve, messy with the oil swirling, and colors not very vivid on the eggs.

Second year purchasing this set! Super easy for my 3 year olds to do and makes these amazing multicolored eggs!! We dipped the eggs in oil twice instead of using the pink and purple without oil. Also used 2 kits for bolder colors (in each bowl, two of the same color tablets, 3T. vinegar, 2/3 cup water, 1.5T. Vegetable oil) Will be purchasing again next year!

So cool! If you follow the directions and then experiment with a few different colors these turn out amazing! So much so we took our tie dye eggs and dipped them in too and they turned out really cool!
Fun idea

All around the suburbs, children and parents alike are disappointed by the total knock-off Spritz egg decorating kit, just as mine were. We purchased Spritz reluctantly after not finding the decades-old Paas decorating kits in Target stores. The Spritz kit has a lot of excess unnecessary packaging to get to the contents, which are very spare, unlike Paas which usually comes with little stickers, marking crayons, etc. 7 tablets in this kit versus 9 in the classic Paas kits. Some Spritz kits only had 6 tablets. But what irked me was that the tablets do not fizz and dissolve in the vinegar, breaking down into a potent colored solution. The tablets sits there, and sits there, and sits there. Try to break one with a spoon. Go on, try, I'll wait. The colors we did get were anemic compared to Paas or just DIY with food coloring. We promptly put the Spritz kit back together (instructions, a metal egg holder, some nondescript green "stands" and the lame tablets) and will be getting our money back. We used what food coloring we had on hand to make beautiful eggs and next year if we want a kit, we'll hit the drugstore for good ol' Paas.
Save your money

Doesn't work. The tablets don't dissolve, and the oil doesn't do much to add a swirl pattern.
Turned out okay, but finicky. Get the Tie Die Kit instead.

If you want fun multi colors, Get the tie dye egg kit instead! These were alright but very finicky.. it uses vegetable oil and took quite a few attempts to get the effect right. Also the oil remains on the egg so you have to wait to let it dry. And redip.
More time than usual and a pain to use

Tablets took 5 minutes to dissolve in the vinegar, much longer than typical egg dyes. Oil idea is fun in theory, but when it takes 2-5 minutes for the eggs in the dye to get the color as vivid as pictured on the box (not 30 seconds as the instructions read) AND the instructions say you need to stir it constantly while watching your little kids so they don’t spill everything - it doesn’t make for a great family friendly experience. Also, the pink color was so pale that we had to add pink food coloring to the cup to get the color to actually dye the eggs. If you are interested in a unique look as a patient adult, go for it. If you have kids, stick with traditional dyes.
Cool in theory only

Only way to get deep color is to leave it in, which kinda defeats the quick swirls and then when leaving it, have the color would rub off from the oil leaving it chunky not swirled
