Have been using the Conair detangle combs for close to 10 years now. Usually after a couple years, part of it breaks and I need to replace it. Well, this new one is (1) more expensive, (2) feels cheaper material-wise (feels like a knockoff), and (3) broke nearly immediately. Three prongs broke with gentle movements (I’m always gentle on my hair, but when it caught on a single knot, the prong broke. This happened three separate times). Unfortunately it’s past the return window, so it’s just a waste of money now.

I have straight, slick hair. The kind that untangles fairly easily without the use of conditioner. You would think that my comb needs would be minimal. The bar is on the floor, and this comb still couldn’t pass. It breaks wherever your hand touches. The photo here was taken when the comb was 2-months old. Save your coin for something that DOESN’T break every time you touch it.

I have been purchasing Conair hair combs for years. Now, I have purchased 3 several combs and all have broken in half due to poor quality. I do have fine hair but it is long. But that has never been a problem in the. I would not recommend this comb.

I bought this comb four years ago for my very fine hair. It says it's durable for even wet hair, but first the individual teeth started falling out. I have had five of these now and each lasts shorter than the previous one.

ConAir used to make the same comb with a more durable plastic. The one I recently purchased is made of cheaper quality plastic that easily breaks. Even though I have fine hair, the comb is already breaking.

I purchased this comb thinking good brand and should last. Wrong. This product broke within the first two weeks, leaving sharp broken plastic and making the comb unusable. I have thin blonde hair - hardly something that should cause a brand name product to break. Do not waste your money.

Awful. This comb broke on my fine hair. I do have long hair. First individual teeth fell out. Then the whole thing snapped in two. It is cheap but still not worth it. Maybe it would work for very short fine hair.
