I hated this product because of broke right when I first got it. I wanted to reverse the spinner and I did and I broke and would not work again. This product sucks because I made my daughters sad because it’s not working correctly. But the spray bottle is a great and fun feature they loved playing with it/

The 1st set I received was defective; Target replaced it. When doing project, it is totally different from the video. It is extremely MESSY and difficult to clean. Will not use it again; for my grandchild, it will be a 1 timer, onlly...that's it for this project.

The clay comes out very hard from the package and you are not able to mold it around the center piece of the wheel (it cracked). After a lot of water, rolling pins and a mallet, we got it flat enough to shape. This was a HUGE mess. Finally, we were able to "spin" the clay and get it shaped. When trying to remove the clay from the formation, the bowl/item completely falls apart. Finally, after many messy attempts, we got one bowl made with the 3 packets of clay provided. It dried after 24 hours and then went to paint. However, paint provided was so hard, it actually came out in chunk, cracked up and water seeped out from the inside. What a waste of $30. Went in trash.

This was a great project for me and my daughter, 10 years. We made the four items in the instructions manual and still had a packet of clay left over. The items are not as perfect as the samples on the box. They seem fragile and are not currently being used, just as what knots on a shelf along with other creations. Worth a day of fun for us.

When my daughter opened the paint to finish the jewelry dish she made, it was all dried out. Luckily she had some other paint at home to use. I would suggest checking the paint before opening the clay and making a project. My daughter had been waiting to purchase this item with a gift card and was very excited to use it. She was very excited to create her own jewelry dish, so she didn’t mind having to use different paint. However, it would be disappointing if a child had no other paint options at home.

I really wanted to like this item- my 6yr old was so happy and excited for pottery set. But what a waste. The wheel is not working- i tried putting in different batteries and it still didnt worked. And yes- I used type c batteries. I wish it would have worked.

As far as a kids pottery wheel goes, this is probably the best your going to find at this price range. Great kit with adequate tools that actually includes quality clay for your child to use. My 11 year old son became suddenly interested in pottery wheels but the kit he originally picked out received bad reviews. I convinced him to try this one because of the positive reviews found on different websites. He's completed two of the projects and has thoroughly enjoyed himself.

We first received this Cool Maker Pottery Studio as a birthday gift and my daughter liked it a lot. We love creative do-it-yourself projects and this is a nice first intro to pottery made easy. It takes a little time to get used to the machine. She made a puppy figurine and little trinket holder. The metallic paints are nice, too. We like this so much that we bought a couple as birthday gifts for friends.

My 11, 8, and 4 year old each have played with this. They lost the instructions and unfortunately the website disnt seem to have them so I left it out and each of them have taken turned setting it up and competing a project 100 percent on their own. They only needed help initially getting the correct C battery size (not included). So to me that is a huge win. Nor.allly these crafty project kits are hwvaikt parent ked and they with ease made little containers and let them sit out to dry then painted them the next day. The paint is cool and mettakic and gives it a fun finish. We checked reviews beforehand and did already know that this is not a potter's wheel in a traditional sense. Instead of pulling the clay up you set the sorry doesn't clay on a mold upside down and squirt it with eater while it spins and smooth it out. Super simple but it isn't a potter's wheel. The spray bottle is high quality. The .olds work well and are easy for my 4 year old to set up. The spinner or base is a little flimsy so I won't be surprised if it doesn last too long and the wheel us clearly low powered but it does the trick. Totally fun few days.
