It boils water to a temperature that causes steam to blow the built in whistle. I like it.

This is a replacement for the Copco tea kettle we had for several years and just loved. This one is slightly larger, and therefore heavier. The whistle is adequate. However, to pour, the lever is close to the front and opening the spout and pouring requires two hands or a rather awkward position of ...see moreof the reviewer's review

I've had mine for over a year and it worked as it's supposed to. I cleaned it on a regular basis, but the last time I cleaned it my dishcloth came out black. I wondered why, so I used a damp paper towels to clean the inside bottom and it came out black too. Most of the black came out, but there i...see moreof the reviewer's review

love the look of the kettle. that said, the whistle is so low that we could be standing next to the kettle and not hear it. also water was extremely slow coming out of the spout. contacted copco and was given an invalid address that covers issues so am still working on a resolution to the problem.

The spout has a ball built in that elimines spitting of water while it is boiling. An artsy looking kettle which looks good left out on stove or counte...see moreof the reviewer's review

I am definitely pleased with this kettle. It looks just as pictured for the most part...I thought the bottom half was black but it's actually a pewter/stainless combination which I like even better! Seems to heat up rather quickly, the whistle works great, and it's easy to pour. Overall I'm very hap...see moreof the reviewer's review

We received this kettle for our wedding 10 years ago! It still works just as good as the first day we used it. We are regular tea drinkers and use it every day, several times a day!

Heavy

This is a very fancy looking tea kettle and very solid. It is heavy when pouring though. I like that the whistle is built into the lid and not the spout. The handle does get a little hot at times but not so badly. My last tea kettle wouldn't whistle every time, so this one was a replacement for that...see moreof the reviewer's review
