I looked around for the price that's reasonable and when I found this I was so pleased. It whistles, not annoyingly loud. The size is just right too.  see moreof Perfectionist's review

This kettle is the best deal for the price. I haven't heard it whistle but I can usually start to hear it boil and see steam to know when it's ready. I haven't had any problems with the handle "getting hot." If anything, the handle it still cold when the water is ready! I didn't want to spend $30 on...  see moreof Andrea's review

I bought this because it was inexpensive. The kettle does the job. It heats water and the whistle is loud. Other than that it's crap. The handle has zero protection from the heat thus is extremely hot and requires some type of towel or potholder to pick it up and pour which makes it very awkward. As others have stated, the handle is hot after warming. I bought it to use when my husband started drinking tea and warming water up in the microwave. Wanted cheap kettle to see if he even would like and switch. After some use we started to taste the metal and thought it was possibly needing to be c...  see moreof K's review

Great looking kettle and very reasonable price. Feels very lightweight and cheap however. My main bugbear is that the plastic handle gets too hot to touch after kettle has boiled. You need oven mitts to pick it up.  see moreof Bel's review

This pot is supposed to whistle, but it didn't. I was afraid to try to adjust it so it might whistle. Apparently it wasn't a tight enough seal, but I couldn't fix it. After a few uses all the rubber/plastic findings around the top melted and smelled bad. The top is too hot to handle, when water is ...  see moreof ichooseu's review
