It would be 5 stars if it didn’t have the issue of double clicking aka key chatter! Updating the software and cleaning the keys did not help at all. I should’ve looked up the common problems before purchasing. But I’m here to let yall know be aware!

First off, I am a gamer and I'm *rough* on keyboards so I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Its very responsive, and it feels so smooth to type on. The amount of customization allowed in the software is great too and very easy. I love the fact I can adjust the volume/lighting strength right on the keyboard with the little knob vs having to go into the software every time I want to turn the lights off. My favorite part of the keyboard is the sound of the key presses. I personally like loud mechanical keyboards, but when being in a voice call with others it isn't always the best thing. I feel the sound of these key presses sound great to me, they are nice and clickity clackity without being overpowering. No one can hear them even when I have an open mic. Overall this is a great keyboard and I would definitely recommend it. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me try this keyboard!

I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The overall impression of this keyboard is incredibly positive. Its sturdy build and premium feel. It is such a pleasure to use it both in gaming and typing. The keyboard has had a remarkable impact on my gameplay. The responsiveness of the keys allows for quick and precise inputs, which is crucial for competitive gaming. The anti-ghosting feature ensures that every keypress is registered, enabling seamless execution of complex commands in games. Visually, the keyboard is amazing. Its sleek design, coupled with the customizable RGB lighting, allows for a personalized aesthetic that complements any gaming setup. The lighting effects are vibrant, and add an immersive dimension to my gaming environment. The customization options are extensive, offering endless possibilities to match the lighting with mood or game purposes. One of the top features for me is the extensive customization settings. The Corsair iCUE software provides a high level of customization that allowed me to tailor the keyboard to my specific preferences to create dynamic lighting profiles for different games. In summary, the Corsair K70 Core RGB Mechanical Keyboard is a powerhouse, excelling in both form and function. Its impact on my gaming has been substantial, thanks to its exceptional build quality, responsive keys, customizable settings, and mesmerizing RGB lighting.

This is the best keyboard ever. The keys are smooth like butter and have amazing ASMR. Ergonomic and beautiful. The lights are high end and captivating. I absolutely love everything about this keyboard. My teenage son loves it for gaming and I love it for typing. Very high quality. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this gaming keyboard. Overall this is a really great keyboard if you’re upgrading from something cheap. Feels great to type on, I love the sound of the keyboard keys. It’s a very noisy yet satisfying sound. The lights are beautiful, just what I would want in a keyboard. I love the volume knob on the top. Very convenient when in the middle of a game. The only downside is that it’s wired.

CORSAIR K70 CORE RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Pre-lubricated Corsair MLX Red Linear Keyswitches - Sound Dampening - Media Control Dial I’ve never tried a mechanical keyboard before using this one. The best way I can describe what it’s like is to describe what it’s not. It’s not mushy or spongy. It’s not too loud or “clacky” either. It doesn’t instantly make you type faster, but it’s satisfying to type on. I bet if you tried a keyboard like this for a week and tried going back to a membrane keyboard, you’d miss the mechanical keyboard immediately. The build quality is substantially better than a typical keyboard. Each key is removable. As soon as I set it up, I let my daughter do some typing lessons. I think it’s better for her to learn to type on this keyboard than on a “chiclet” keyboard, like most laptops have. I use the media control dial to control my volume. You can also use it to change the rgb lighting or as a scroll wheel. I realize this is a gaming keyboard, but I personally think the greatest benefit is typing. Overall it’s well worth the cost both for gaming and for general typing. Thank you Stellar Panel for providing me with this keyboard to review.

I'm what you'd call the every-day keyboard enthusiast - I've dabbled in building a little bit and appreciate the differences that keycaps, switches, and form factors can bring to ones' experience. I'm also a gamer and have a job that requires a lot of typing, so I can appreciate the need for differences in form. So when I received the K70 Core Black Keyboard in the mail (courtesy of Stellar Reviews - thank you for choosing me to test this!), I was really excited to get to comparing how these run for my daily uses! As a point of comparison, I also have the K70 RGB Mk. 2, which uses Cherry Browns, and runs at a higher price point. Pros: - Build: The stock Cherry Red switches come as expected - pre-lubricated and smooth to type, with matte stock keycaps that are really solid out of the box. This is different to the K70 RGB (which comes with a smoother finish on the caps). It may be a matter of preference, but the matte finish is really nice when flying across the keyboard to type. - Price: The price point is REALLY good - with no palm rest, $99.99 is a very solid price point for a starter-level mechanical keyboard, much less a full-size + volume control. There's a few extra features I do like with the RGB Mk. 2, but if I had to go back in time, I'd definitely go for the K70 Core, and save $50 - Customizability: As expected of Corsair, the RGB customizability is always a fun thing to play with - different profiles for different games helps with the aesthetics, and there's built-in profile and brightness controls assigned to the F Keys Cons: - Volume Control: The function of the volume control isn't in question - each click of the knob raises/lowers volume by 2 and it's very responsive. My issue is with how awkward it is to adjust, along with how it feels to hit the pause/play button. Volume control is located close to the numpad (which have fairly high keycaps), and that makes reaching over to pause feel very awkward. As for the volume knob, having it positioned vertically makes it awkward to adjust, and puts the user at risk of smashing the numpad accidentally. This area is the only reason I don't love the keyboard as much as I could. - Lack of pass-through USB - this is a feature on the K70 RGB that I really like. It's not live-or-die, but it would've been nice to have - Cable location/material - The cable is tangle-free rubber, and is located left-adjacent, which makes it REALLY awkward for my computer located on the right side. I do wish the cable was centered instead and was made of a different material, but I am reminded that this is an entry-level keyboard. Summary: It might feel like I have a lot of gripes with the K70 Core, but most of it is only because my point of comparison is at a higher price point version. At $99.99, this is absolutely a steal. The volume controls are a SLIGHT annoyance, but part of it might be just on me needing to use this more (which I plan on doing). It's super smooth to type on and feels really responsive, and while it's not a 5/5, it gets pretty close!
Almost perfect - love those MLX Red switches!

Full disclosure: I received this keyboard as part of a product test and review from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have no other affiliation with Stellar or Corsair. A note right in the beginning about the sound of the board, its mechanical without most of the noise associated with a mechanical keyboard. The tones are pleasant and low, not clacky or springy. I would not hesitate to bring this keyboard into the office. With a nice soft pad under it, hardly anyone else would hear it. Great mellow thumpy sound and feel for an intro board. This is not a thocky higher-end custom board, but it’s good enough that I want to swap out the caps and try some mods to see where I can go with it. It feels like it has the potential for something really fun. That’s much more than I was expecting when I opened the package. I’ve been running this as my main board for 2-3 weeks and I’m enjoying it more every day. The switches are Corsair MLX Red mechanical switches, compatible with standard MX keycaps. These switches are pre-lubed, and they seem to have a shorter travel. Spring weight is comfortable but not too light. Somehow, they are still very quick to actuate. This is a tough balance to find, because normally fast linear switches have a noticeably lighter spring rate. Corsair claims 45g of actuation force. The switches are very smooth, no ping. The space bar is a little louder, but no wobble and only a very slight rattle on return. The board comes with little foam bumpers already installed under the space bar. Corsair could sell these switches separately and do well. They are properly sorted and maybe the best factory switch of its kind that I’ve tried. The person responsible for these switches really hit a home-run; they are the bright spot of the entire board. The software and LED lighting have some really great features, and some unrealized opportunities. You have a lot of lighting options, almost every key on the keyboard can be reprogrammed, and you can configure the multi-function encoder knob with a push button. There are 5 memory slots for saving different profiles. I would like to be able to program the encoder knob just a bit more, but the presets are neat and will most likely work for most people. Where it gets confusing is the option for “Lighting Effects” and “Hardware Lighting”. These are really the same feature. “Hardware Lighting” is the one you want to use if you want the changes to be saved to the keyboard memory, so those LED preferences will work when the iCUE software is not running or cannot be accessed. A great example is locking the terminal when in Windows. If your settings are not saved in “Hardware Lighting” then they are not available to the keyboard when Windows is locked, and they come back when you log back into your desktop. Same story if iCUE is not running, either because you chose not to run it at system start, or because you closed it by selecting the Quit option. Honestly the software is really the only thing holding this keyboard back from being really great, and the only reason I gave the board 4 stars instead of 5. If Corsair brought this keyboard to market at a $50 price point and supported open-source keyboard firmware with VIA/QMK, this board would be a world beater in its segment.

I was given the Corsair Core K70 gaming keyboard to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This keyboard is super slick right out of the box, with the key height standoff catching my eyes immediately. The aluminum shell gives it a solid feel, and the control knob and other accessory buttons offer just as good of tactile response as the keys are supposed to. The keys are very nice, however, this particular style (red, quiet) is ultra sensitive with a very short travel distance and low actuation force, and I've found this to be hard to get used to and extremely annoying. Because of how I rest my hands on the keyboard, I am accidentally pressing keys without trying to and this causes many unwanted commands to be sent to my computer. Normally, resting my fingers on the keys would not actuate a key on a typical keyboard. While I can understand the benefits and understand I could get used to it, it was a struggle even after a lot of use and I found that the tactile response the keyboard offers had no indication that I pressed the key since the response only came with a full travel. This tactile response, since padded to be quiet, didn't seem appropriately timed to offer the satisfaction that I am looking for in a mechanical keyboard. However, since it is quiet and not bothersome to others hearing keystrokes, this tactile feedback is probably a worthwhile tradeoff. The lighting on the keyboard is very visually satisfying and fun. The RGB control looks complex and a lot of presets can be made for color patterns. I installed the Corsair iCue software and updated firmware on the keyboard, and the keyboard no longer automatically lights up upon plugging in, so the software is not super easy to get into out of the box and will take some time to learn. Before installing the software, I had no problem with the lights. The keyboard is very customizable aside from lights as well, and I like that the Function keys are by default, Function buttons without pressing Fn rather than them being media and settings keys by default. Lastly, I am a big fan of a full keyboard so the number pad is a must and glad to have it here. A keyboard greatly impacts my typing experience as it can help or hinder. In this case I was finding this keyboard to still be a hindrance after a week of use, but I understand other people may have style preferences that suit this keyboard perfectly. I will still be using this keyboard every now and then to enjoy the lighting experience and taller key feel.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the CORSAIR K70 keyboard for gaming. I have played Baldur's Gate, League, and StarCraft using the keyboard so far. I have loved the quietness of the mechanical keys, quieter than other keyboards I have used. The keyboard is very slick and feels sturdy. The customization of the RGB lights have made using the keyboard fun! My favorite feature has been the extra controls on the keyboard. Being able to change the volume on the keyboard has been very convenient. I do wish the keys were just a bit bigger. My fingers are on the meatier side, which sometimes causes me to touch surrounding keys sometimes. I was given this gaming keyboard to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I was given this gaming keyboard to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall this keyboard is fine. The keys are compactly spaced and the colors are fun. The knob for volume control is different than most keyboards, which makes it feel a little extra fancy. The keys feel smooth when typing and aren't super loud, but they aren't super quiet either. They also don't register unless you push decently hard; it took some getting used to. I've had to do a lot of backspacing to fix missed key pushes. The keyboard also feels really tall/thick - if I were to use this as a full time gaming/work keyboard I would 1000% need a wrist rest to help get my hands at a comfortable level with the keyboard and to help with the missed key presses. Overall it's a fine keyboard for the price point.

I have fallen in love with the Corsair k70 core keyboard. It's quiet, fast responding, and ergonomic. My favorite feature has to be the multi-function dial, I use it mostly to quickly adjust my volume based on gameplay. The dial also allows me to control the keyboard's lighting, scroll vertically or horizontally, or zoom in and out. Overall a great keyboard for gaming and work.

What I often look for in a gaming keyboard is ease of use, reliability and durability. It's crucial to have a keyboard that can handle extensive usage over an extended period, all the while delivering a seamless and comfortable typing experience, and this is precisely where the Corsair K70 truly excels. The first thing to consider is that firstly Corsair is a well-known company that primarily specializes in producing high-performance computer hardware and accessories so with this in mind you know you're going to be getting a solid product with good support behind it as well as a 2-year warranty on the product. Out of the box, the keyboard looks slick and has a good heft to it. It's got an aluminum top-plate which is a nice touch. The key's have a very nice sound - relatively quiet and yet still satisfying. Those two sound dampening layers are awesome and whoever else might be living with you will be thankful for them as well. Setting it up was a breeze—simply plug it in, and watch the keyboard awaken in a dazzling display of colors, as if it were a spacecraft gliding through the cosmos. The color change is so fluid too and the light pattern can be customized using the Corsair iCue software which can be downloaded from their website if you're using a PC. Typing on this keyboard is an absolute delight, though I did come across an occasional hiccup where keys would occasionally register double presses. Fortunately, this issue was a known one after a brief internet search, and it was effectively resolved by installing the iCue software and updating the keyboard's firmware. Aside from that minor quirk, the typing experience is seamless and enjoyable, to the point where it feels like you can effortlessly increase your typing speed. In addition, you'll find convenient shortcuts integrated into the F-Keys. By simply holding down the 'Fn' key and tapping the corresponding F-Key, you can seamlessly perform actions like switching keyboard profiles, adjusting brightness levels, controlling media playback (pause, stop, play), and more. What's even more nifty is the presence of a volume dial right on the keyboard, allowing you to instantly mute audio with a quick press. Overall, this keyboard has been a delight to game with and I look forward to its many years of service. Special thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me the opportunity to experience this outstanding gaming keyboard.

Just to get this out of the way upfront, we received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, free of charge. That said: This is a fantastically responsive gaming keyboard, with low latency, and customizable key lighting. This makes it functional *and* fabulous! There are two incline settings to maximize comfort, and a magnetic wrist rest to help with longer sessions of use. Keeping up to 5 different profiles saved in the internal memory would be very useful in switching between games on the fly, over a long evening of combat with friends. In the past week I've put it through 3+ hours each on Tomb Raider, Everspace 2, Diablo 3 & 4, Dying Light, and StarDew Valley...solid for all of them. Seeing it on my desk in all its multicolored glory has led to at least 3 visiting family members proclaim "I know what I want for Christmas!" :-D On the downside, despite the touted "2 sound dampening layers of acoustic foam" it's still quite a noisy device, especially if you're an accomplished typist. Reminds me very much of the Dell keyboards of typing class, from high school. This is also a keyboard very obviously intended for use with Windows machines, as there are multiple buttons that don't work well cross-platform, or marked/branded Windows only. It will work with non-Windows machines, but a label-maker might be your best bet for keeping things marked for non power users. All in all, though, a tough and capable keyboard that will take many many more gaming sessions to really explore the capabilities of.

Overall great keyboard, the corsair red switches are comfortable to type on while making the keyboard significantly quieter than other mechanical keyboards. The installation took a minute as I had an issue updating the firmware, however that was remedied on my second attempt. I did need to search up additional instructions for changing the lighting, but once I found it I really enjoy the customization options. The only negative for me about the K70 CORE is that the cord is a bit shorter than what I'm used to, I wish it was a foot longer for the ease of arranging my desktop, I also wish the cord had a woven cover as I feel the rubber coating isn't as durable and I worry about my cat easily chewing through it like she does with headphone cords. I received the Corsair K70 CORE Black as part of the Stellar Products Testing Panel, however if I had purchased at full price I would still be just as pleased.

I was very excited to unbox the Corsair K70 Core keyboard when it arrived. Immediately upon pulling it out of the box, I could tell it was very sturdy and well-made, while still having a sleek and compact look. The keyboard was very simple to set up and the iCUE software is easy to use to get the exact keyboard lighting that I was looking for. I really like how little space the keyboard takes up on my desk while still providing a full keyboard with a numpad. On top of being a gamer, I also do a lot of typing for work so the red key switches have been a dream to use. Typing is much faster with less effort when using the K70 Core. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this gaming keyboard.

Came out of the packaging looking very sleek. Took only a few minutes to connect and get gaming. I use my keyboard for both gaming and work so a keyboard for me needs to be functional and fast. It has a nice quite click/sound. Additionally, the RBG is very cool. It was fun to set up the color scheme to match my gaming den. However, the one improvement would be the ability to customize a bit more as the colors patterns are limited. Overall I'm very happy with this keyboard and Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this gaming keyboard.

I received this gaming keyboard from the Stellar Product Testing Panel for an honest review. BLUF the keyboard is really nice and the backlight was really vivid. I really like the keyboard for typing and word processing, but when it came to gaming it felt like the required pressure for a key press to register was too light. While I was playing FPS games it was great but when I was playing 3rd person MMORPGs I oftentimes had to take my hand fully off my keyboard to avoid accidentally pressing a button. The look of the keyboard was good but I do think that it requires a wrist rest in order to use it nicely. The backlights were really cool and I liked using them. The sound of the actual button presses made typing on the keyboard very fun. I really like the keyboard sounds. There are customizable settings, but honestly I didn't customize it a whole lot, but I did mess with changing the colors of the backlights. I thought the configurations you could create were really neat so if that's your thing, you'll really appreciate this keyboard. My favorite feature of this keyboard is probably the sound of the button presses, probably the neatest thing about the keyboard is that the individual presses sound so good.

I really like that I can change what the control dial controls. Mainly use it for volume but can be nice to use to turn down the lighting at night as well. Also, the ability to set a hardware key assignment is nice when switching my KVM switch to my work computer. I've become fully dependent on key assignments to get through my work day. The keys are also very quiet. Much quieter than the K70 MK.2 this is replacing. Response time also seems to be the same or at least not noticeably different than the MK.2. I will say that the quieter keys while gaming is much less distracting for both my wife and I while we game in the same room. The feel of the keys is a great change as well. They have a matte feel to them and I feel wont get greasy as easily. I was able to receive this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I recently received this gaming keyboard through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on it. In terms of functionality, this keyboard truly stands out. It offers a seamless and responsive gaming experience, making it an excellent choice for avid gamers like myself. The key presses are crisp, and I also find it easy to use for typing and non-gaming programs. The key presses are extremely light, so if you prefer more resistance on your keyboard, there may be better options for you. In addition, the customizable macros are a huge plus, allowing me to streamline complex in-game actions with ease. However, it's worth mentioning that the RGB customization options can be a bit perplexing. It took me some time to grasp all the settings and combinations through the iCue program, which resulted in a period of trial and error. Once I got the hang of it, the keyboard's lighting effects were very pretty, and I appreciated the level of personalization it offered. For those who are new to RGB customization, a more user-friendly interface or detailed instructions might be helpful. One standout feature of this keyboard is its solid build quality. It feels robust and well-constructed, giving me confidence that it will withstand the rigors of intense gaming sessions. The keys have a satisfying tactile feel and are built to last, making it a long-term investment for gamers who want durability in their peripherals. The customizable knob in the corner feels particularly sturdy and is more useful than I anticipated! In summary, this gaming keyboard offers excellent functionality and a sturdy build, making it a reliable choice for gamers. While the RGB customization options may pose a slight learning curve, the end result is a visually stunning gaming setup. If you're looking for a solid first gaming keyboard, this will enhance your gaming experience.
