Q: Can this be used with a hydra pen?

We generally recommend our serums for use with our .25mm dermaroller which we offer online, although we do have estheticians that use our products in their microneedling practice, we have not specifically tested our serums for use with a hydra pen. We suggest applying the hyaluronic acid serum and facial oil separately as serums work from deep within the layers of skin, while moisturizers lock in moisture from the outer most layer. For best results it should be applied after cleaning and toning and before your facial oil or moisturizer. A: Hello Carol- Thank you for your inquiry. Our Hyaluronic Acid Serum is a 1% formula which has been tested for maximum benefit and absorbency with a medium molecular weight of between .8-1.2 kDa. Although low molecular weight is able to penetrate deeper into the skin, for some skin types, there is a possibility of irritation, while a high molecular weight sits on top of the skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off with I have tried many different brands of Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum and never had a bad reaction to it. With Cosmedica's it has made any spot I put the product break out. All my pores turned into little bumps. It made my skin feel disgusting. 2 days after stop using it my skin is almost completely cleared up. Since I know I don't have a problem with using Hyaluronic Acid it's something that this brand has put in their product. Now I know not to ever test some brand face product online that was price too good to be true. I hope no one else goes through what I did.

Not sure what happened. Applied per instructions and it caused all these tiny little red dots, splotchiness and my skin started peeling away. I thought maybe it’s supposed to be a chemical peel type of treatment so I tried again 2 more times. When I saw my doctor yesterday she said this is severe skin barrier damage and to discontinue use of this product immediately :(
