Q: How do you remove the waterproof version? I really like the product except that it's so difficult to remove. Tried: eye makeup remover, makeup removing cleanser, and vaseline and none of them removed it.

Not bad. I would buy again. People complained of flaking.. that didn't happen to me. It can be hard to remove but I found some make up removers better than others and some help take it off without issue. I guess it works differently for people. My wish would be that it had less chemicals as it still does have several chemicals in it

This is my first time using drugstore mascara in almost 20 years. I was skeptical, but now I'm impressed -EXCEPT for one major factor. The reason I purchased was because of the clean ingredient list; I want to support that effort. Formula: goes on so smooth, no clumping, beautiful separation, gives a nice "omph" to my lashes, and doesn't have a weird smell. The very black is very black. It dries fairly quickly. Has a similar look and feel to Glossier's Lash Slick, but gives more volume! Wear: I do not typically experience racoon eye with any mascara for the record. Only a little flaking after 12+ hours of wear. Removal: comes off easily with warm water and my usual face cleanser! The not so great...the wand: The bristles are short, plastic bristles that give an even, smooth, clump-less coating. But the brush itself is FAT. Too fat to get into the corners to touch up tiny lashes. The handle of the wand is so fat and unwieldly that it's hard to feel that I'm in control of application. It gives an overwhelming sensation of using a fat toddler crayon to put on mascara. If they will slim the brush and handle I will make this a staple.

Before purchasing I researched mascara that will nourish eyelashes. I am 56 and noticed that my lashes have thinned and were breaking with a different brand. This mascara has worked well for me, it doesn't clump, I push the brush a few times before applying, keeps my lashes separated, keeps a natural look and is easily removed with Neutrogena make up wipes without too much wiping. Overall, I would recommend.

I have used a different mascara for years and decided to go back to this one because of the price and the good reviews. I couldn't find out why my eyes kept BURNING until the days I stopped using this. I also didn't like the constant flaking on my glasses of this. I did like the look of the product on, but with these effects it had on me, no I can not recommend.

This evil stuff does not come off!! I wanted waterproof mascara for my Dad’s funeral. Thought the “clean” version would be a good gentle option. Think again! I tried eye makeup remover, cream cleanser, and coconut oil. I’m left with sore eyes, damaged lashes and it still won’t come off!

I recently started using the water-proof version of this mascara and absolutely love it! Cover Girl always delivers a great mascara but what sets the one apart for me is how light weight it feels on my eye lashes! I did not have any of the smudging issues others reported but that could be because I have the waterproof version.

Adds considerable volume, separation and fullness, soft feel, not flaky or clumpy, adds subtle length, and doesn't weigh lashes down straightening them. I actually prefer this over Chanel's mascara and is a fraction of the price! I wear contacts that are gas perm center and silicon skirt, and this mascara hasn't given me too much trouble (try Miraflow lens cleaner if your contacts get dirty). I get the waterproof very black and it removes easily with micellar water!
