The age recommendation on this says 8+. I thought it looked cute and got it for my 8-year-old for Christmas. She definitely can't do it on her own, but we are having fun working on it together. I thought her younger sister (4-years-old) could make the smaller of the two giraffes, but I have ended up...see moreof the reviewer's review

These giraffes are a fun and simple craft to make. I love that it ends up as a 3-D model you can use to hold jewelry too. Like other users, I did add some of my own tape to make it more sturdy during wrapping, but it is simple and was almost meditative to make.
