Definitely not for windows. You can’t see them at all on a window. Save yourself the headache and get chalk markers for windows.

Received as a present and I am so frustrated with this product that I threw it away. My biggest complaint is that they do not wash off easily. Using name brand products (windex and bounty paper towels), I have washed the windows 5 different times and there is still a milky white/cloudy residue left on the windows. I have to physically scrub the windows HARD with a paper towel. My windows are less than a year old so they had started in perfect condition. VERY frustrated.

They work. They look pretty good. They are AWFUL to clean! Therefore, I’d suggest to use these sparingly if you’re a busy mom and already have enough to clean. I’m saving mine in a hiding place for holiday decorating on windows for the kids but we won’t be using them often. Usually I have to clean the window or sliding glass door 3-4 times to get it clean. Start with a wet sponge and do a couple rounds of cleaning with water. Then, go over again with a sponge like item with cleaner, then followup with 1-2 sessions of window cleaner with a microfiber to get it clean. Don’t attempt this with a paper towel or you’ll use a whole roll (sarcastic but it’s a lot). We will stick to dry erase. Other ideas for use: writing on cars windows for special occasions, writing on windows for holidays, office notes that don’t change often, glass window calendar.

Usually, water will do the trick to remove the marks, but to make the job easier next time, try using a glass cleaner to remove the masterpiece and go over again as you said with a microfiber cloth to dry the window. Super fun for kids to keep them entertained. It does not stain or stick to glass surfaces or run. Washes off with a baby wipe (we used Huggies simply clean) you may need to wash it twice as the first time a film will be left behind. They will probably not work for specific special projects like decorating a car window or making a holiday mural.. They are not very bold and going over the same area twice will erase it. The tips are also very small which will make it difficult to color in. Best use we found was on mirrors!

I should have known this, but they are very pigmented & bleed profusely. Meaning they were ALL over my child’s hands, that then touched their face, that then touched other objects in the room. It is so pigmented that it doesn’t come off her skin for days.

Although Crayola washable products are water-based and designed to wash from skin and nearly all children's clothing, the dyes and pigments included in Crayola washable products react differently to various skin types, depending on a person's body chemistry. Normally, Crayola washable products can be removed from the skin by washing with soap and water. If you are unsuccessful with soap and water, try using baby wipes, baby oil or make-up remover. Since Crayola washable products are water-based, you may find that keeping the area moist with water will help to lift the stain.
