Q: will these paints work on rocks?

You can use this paint to decorate rocks; however, you may find that multiple coats will be needed and we recommend you display your finished work indoors. While we do not manufacture a paint product designed to permanently withstand external elements, Crayola Acrylic Paint may work better for your outdoor project. Hope this helps!

Q: Will these paints “stick” to a pumpkin? I’m doing a messy kindergarten pumpkin painting party for Halloween.

Q: Will this adhere (properly!) to a canvas? I need extra paints for the girls to use on canvas surfaces. Does it have any depth to the colors, or is this just a paper/surface kids paint?

If this is just for your kids to mess around and stay busy, it’s fine. But if you want to make any kind of lasting project, this is not good enough quality. It is so thin and transparent that it takes 3 coats to look any kind of decent.

Crayola Washable Kids' Paint is formulated to wash easily from most launderable clothing and skin. For optimal cleaning, we recommend washing the garment in hot water without pretreating the stain, as indicated on the package. Here is an additional tip to help remove any residual paint from you clothing: 1. Wash in hot water with laundry detergent for about 12 minutes (heavy soil cycle). Do not put the garment in the dryer. 2. Soak in a solution of Oxi Clean or Clorox 2® according to the instructions on the container for one hour. Let the garment air dry. 3. Repeat laundering should remove any residual stains. Do not heat-dry between washings. We hope this suggestion resolves the issue. Bought this for a project where we'd paint on the doors of the house and be able to wash it off. YouTube reviews of it were incredible. So I bought it at Target and tested on the back of one of our doors, which are a semi-gloss white. Luckily, I tried two colors: black and red. The black washes off completely, but the red left a stain, even on the semi-gloss door. I'm impressed that they wash off as well as they do, but I did knock it one star for the red leaving a stain.

I've purchased these paints a dozen times for my kids. They're absolutely 10000% WASHABLE, I've never had anything stain, and they've been on everything: clothes of all colors (yes, even white), tables, table coths, dish towels, carpets, hands, faces, you name it this paint has seen it (and washed off from it!)

I LOVE this paint for my toddler. It truly is washable and has come out of everything my toddler has painted on - besides paper. The colors are great and they have lasted us a very long time. Will continue to purchase. The smell is a bit strong but nothing too bad

I taught art 10+ years ago and apparently the formulation for a lot of the tempera paints being sold right now are completely different than I remember. This is very thin and nothing like "true" tempera paint. No matter how many coats I applied it never covered the paper. But the biggest problem was the smell. It gave me a terrible headache and throat ache from using it for less than an hour. I will never use this stuff again.

I must be one of few to dislike these paints so much. 1. They are thin and watery consistency. 2. They should have a squeeze cap for easier handling. Even as an adult pouring this for the kids, way too much comes out. 3. Very messy. Gets on bottle. Not suitable for littles to pour on their own. 4. As others have mentioned. Not washable.
