For cooks who like to share good times and good food! This portable slow cooker eliminates hassle and mess when transporting cooked foods from home. The secure-fitting lid and locking system create a tight seal between the stoneware and lid to ensure contents don't leak or spill. The Crock-Pot Cook & Carry Manual Slow Cooker is a one-pot-wonder for traveling to parties, tailgates, picnics, potlucks and more. With the unit you can slow cook, warm and then serve from the removable stoneware and eliminate extra pots, pans and dishes.
I bought this Crockpot to replace the identical one I have had for many years. My old one had developed a hairline crack and I was afraid to keep using it. I was quite pleased to find the same one at such great price....I am not into the fancy timer ones - just like to turn the knob. Plus I love the locking lid for when I am taking my meal to share with others....no more problems with the food, juices, splashing out onto the floorboard of my car! Simple to use, convenient to transport!
I was so excited with this purchase. The feature of being able to lock lid with a major selling point. Disappointment came when the lid handle on top broke on one end. Still a Crock Pot gal but still disappointed.
My first time using this crock pot I was making a roast with vegetables and before I left I turned it on low to cook through the day to come home to a hot Cooke meal. WRONG. I came home to the same thing I left on my vegetables had rotten and my meat had gone bad. The thing never heated up I’ve plugged it in to several different outlets and left it on high for 20 minutes. Nothing, waste of my money food and time, never buying this brand again.

I bought this a while back and it is the best thing in my kitchen. I have made everything in it and it has never let me down. Crock-Pot is a very realiable name brand and I wouldn't use any other, that's why I was so happy when they came out with the muli-cooker!!! That will be my next purchace, but I am going to win one so thank you very much Crock-Pot!!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
When a workplace potluck calls for a large vat of food, this Crock-Pot is the way to go. I've made mac and cheese, hot chocolate, brisket, and beef stroganoff so far for potlucks at work. The latching lid is the key; it keeps the contents from making a mess in the car as I transport from home to work. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is our second Crock Pot, our first being one of the original models, over 42 years old and still cooking. We wanted a larger unit with a secure lid and, due to our experience with the first one, we went back to Crock Pot and bought this model. It is a good value. The hot cycle is nice and hot. Our food cooks while we're at work or play reliably. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
