I absolutely love the aesthetic of the lamp. It’s so easy to put together. I didn’t look at the instructions not once. Very light weight (the base is a littleee heavy, but overall, very manageable for a woman my size)! I gave it 4 stars (really would have been 4.5) but that’s ok! Lol. Reasons being: 1. I wasn’t particularly excited about the height. I wish it were a little bit taller. I adjusted the height as tall as it goes (see pics). 2. And save your cash on the light bulb unless you like yellow/brownish lightbulbs (see pics)! Possibly like that because it’s an energy-saving bulb, which is amazing (go Target, but I wear reading glasses and it’s not bright enough for me). 3. Also the rim of the lamp is a little discolored/scratched. I’m a little bit of a stickler, but if you don’t care about that stuff then yeah. Also sorry for my chicken-scratch, I wrote this with my finger on my cellphone! Lol! Overall Summary: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!

Love the look and great for my space. Would have liked it to be a few inches taller but just a personal preference.

I bought this lamp a few years ago, but have barely used it since it is more decorative in a random corner - maybe 20 times, max. Now it doesn't work. I took it apart looking for a loose connection or frayed wire and nothing. I'm way outside the return window so think twice. It looks nice, but not the greatest quality.

As other reviews state the arm joint snaps easily and has plastic components which CAUSE FIRES

This lamp was just what I was looking for to complete the seating area next to the fireplace. I do not see where it is flimsy or difficult to maintain at a constant angle as mentioned in other reviews. The only issue is that the base arrived dented. Because I can turn the defect to the rear, I've decided to avoid the hassle of exchanging and just kept it.

this is not the first time i’ve tried to submit a review for this lamp, but target keeps refusing to post them? pretty gross if you ask me. this lamp burned down my house. it killed our pets, and almost killed my 6 year old and my spouse and i. we lost everything. just like others have written- there is a SERIOUS design flaw on this lamp. the weight distribution is off, and the mechanism to tighten the pole is made of plastic that’s been colored to look like metal. the lamp ended up snapping at the joint just like other reviewers posted, caught the small sofa on fire next to it and the rest is history. our final fire investigation report names this specific model as the cause of fire, we’ve had a third-party fire investigator and electrical engineer complete investigations and they also confirmed the cause of fire was this lamp. Target has refused to work with us of course, my guess is that they don’t want to recall the lamp. i wonder how many other people they have silenced, and it makes me sick knowing they have all of this information and they refuse to pull the item from shelves. please don’t buy this lamp. hope this review helps save a life, because you CANNOT rely on this corporation to put your safety over their corporate greed.

Love the look of this lamp absolutely. However I feel they missed it on this design. The lightbulb cover is too heavy and causes it lean. Tightening the adjustments became really flimsy. It honestly feels and look cheap. And I wish it was a bit taller.

Well I love the lamp but it came damaged and the box was packaged fine it must of been who ever checked it before packing and now gotta pack it to take back !

Do not buy this lamp. I bought this lamp two different times and they both break at the neck very easy. Not worth the money .

Pairs perfectly with vintage mid-century!

This lamp is gorgeous in person! Nice heavy base, the cord is strung through the sections that screw together. Super easy to set up and took minutes. I added a warm Edison bulb to mine which made it perfect. The lamp lowers and raises with the arm as well as the shade itself.

For the price it’s very poor quality. Bad paint, chunks of glue and my lever is on sideways, which means I can’t lower and raise as intended. Really junky, if you have the ability then save your money and buy a nicer one that isn’t Threshold brand.

I wanted a task lamp and after measuring, this was the perfect size. I think you would be disappointed if you were looking for the height of a traditional floor lamp. I am really happy with the quality.

I like the style of the lamp. I didn’t like the adjustments, they gave more of a spotlight than lamp effect. You can’t adjust it “just a smidge” because of the tightening mechanism. And, once you found the “best I can get it” setting, the tightening mechanism would loosen and you’d have to twist the knobs to readjust it again. I dealt with it until I could find a replacement at a decent price and gave this one to my daughter.

It’s just ok. I really loved the look of it but it would never stay straight it was always tilted. I took it apart and put it back together and it still tilted which made it easy to tip. My son tipped it over once and it stopped working. The mechanism that switched it on broke. It’s not sturdy enough for the price.

Love the look of this lamp! You can easily adjust the height.
