Q: How long will the coffee remain hot ?
A: I would say hot for 3-4 hours. I've had a cup 6 hours later and it was still warm.
submitted byKaren - 4 years agoA: I literally timed it because there were so many comments here. I timed it for over a day. When I first brewed the coffee the temp was 182 degrees. 27 hours later it was still steaming when I removed the lid and my digital temp read 132 degrees. I’d say the coffee stays HOT!!
submitted byMarcus - 4 years agoA: Hot for an hour or two, warm for longer
submitted byAllen - 4 years agoA: I think the important part about keeping the coffee hot, is that one needs to keep the lid on. You can brew it, and pour it, with the lid sealed (Hey... it's magic!!!). If the lid is removed, it will allow the coffee to cool much quicker.
submitted byWally - 4 years agoA: Never really gets hot due to its poor design. Keeps the coffee slightly above room temperature for maybe an hour.

Q: is this the DCC 3400?
A: Not so it turns off and the remaining coffee is cold so whether your making 4 or 12 cups less than a hour the coffee is cold.
submitted byBea Jersey - 4 years agoA: No, this is an exclusive Target version. Only found at Target and it has amazing performance.
submitted byGinaB2323 - 4 years agoA: It's model DCC-3850TG.
submitted by2Cents - 4 years agoA: Per Cuisanart, the replacement decanter is the same as the Cuisanart DCC 3400. Question for Cuisanart rep: What are the specific differences, if any, between this Target model and the DCC 3400?

Q: Is the carafe easy and comfortable to handle? Does it drip?
A: It is nearly impossible to handle, never empties out completely, and has a big lip on the interior that prevents fluids from flowing out without spilling all over everything (and that is with the lid on properly to allow for pouring).
submitted byboiu90 - 2 years agoA: I would say no, it is not at all easy and comfortable to handle. It is much heavier than a glass carafe. And, because the coffee doesn't pour out easily, you will have to turn your wrist much further to get coffee that builds up in the rim to pour out.
submitted byRorie - 3 years agoA: It is easy and comfortable to handle. It does not drip unless you to do not have the top on the carafe.

Q: I just purchased the Cuisinart DCC-3850 coffeemaker (from Target) I've noticed that when it finishes brewing it turns off is there a way to keep it on? I brew 12 cups and after less then an a hour the coffee turns off.
A: the thermal coffee pot will keep your coffee warm and does not need to be connected to warming plate.
submitted byConair's Answers Team - 3 years agoBrand expertA: The point of having a thermal coffee carafe is so the coffee stays hot without being on a warming plate. So, of course it turns "off" after brewing. The carafe also keeps the coffee from burning.

Q: Does this have a auto shut off?
A: For all intents and purposes, the coffee maker "turns off" when it is done brewing. In turn, there is nothing to "think about or forget to do" when the coffee is ready.
submitted byWally - 4 years agoA: Once the coffee finishes brewing, there is no heating element that needs an auto shut off. The easy-pour double-wall insulated thermal carafe has an ergonomic handle and is designed to keep your coffee hot for hours.
