Make generous portions of perfect rice every time with the Cuisinart 8 Cup Rice Cooker. With a built-in steam tray for sides and add-ins, you can create healthy dishes for the whole family at the touch of a button. This smart Rice Cooker also switches automatically to Warm once the rice has cooked, keeping your dishes hot while the chrome-plated handles stay cool to the touch. Clean-up is easy too, thanks to the steam vent that helps prevent splattering and the nonstick coating.
I cooked white rice (the smallest amount they recommended) and when I went to check to see how it was doing the starchy water was all over my counter and I expect to have to clean the bowl of the rice cooker but not the whole machine plus my kitchen counters every time I want to use this device. I’m starting to think I should have bought a zojirushi!
I received this as a gift from a friend who loves hers. However, I’ve tried the overnight stone ground oatmeal according to the recipe, and the machine overflowed covering the counter and floor with a gooey mess. Next, I made regular medium grain white rice, once again according to the recipe and measurements in the instruction booklet and the thing overflowed with another gooey mess. I’ll give this thing one more try before I throw it out.
