Q: Can you use paper liners when baking muffins or cupcakes? Booklet said no paper (like parchment)?

submitted by - 4 years ago
  • A: I check my manual. It looks like you can use parchment paper but not traditional paper liners. It also recommends to use nonstick cooking spray.

submitted byLA Todd - 4 years ago
  • A: If the booklet says no paper. I would follow the directions.

Q: if this doesn't have a timer to set, do you have to have a clock on the counter to know when something baked for 30 minutes, That sounds dumb?

  • A: There is not a timer but there is an auto-shutoff after 2 hours.

submitted byMarcus - 1 month ago

Q: Does this toaster oven have a timer built in?

submitted by Niobi - 4 months ago
  • A: When you select your preferred toast shade, the unit will beep and turn off once the shade is reached. There is an indicator light, but no timer for bake and broil settings.

submitted byMarcus - 3 months ago

Q: Does this toaster still have an extremely loud agressive series of beeping at the end of toasting. We have same older model, love the function of toaster over but despised the obnoxious alarm beep.

submitted by Gigi - 7 months ago
  • A: This unit will beep 5 times when and turn off after toasting is complete.

submitted byMarcus - 6 months ago

Q: The cuisinart video says this toaster oven has an "auto off feature." Can you explain what that feature is and how it works?

submitted by Rose Marie - 2 years ago
  • A: Great question! Since this is an electric unit and does not have a timer, the unit is designed to automatically shut off after 2 hours. I hope this helps!

    The Best Countertop Appliance!

    5 out of 5 stars

I have been using this same model for over 30 years. My previous one was 10 years old and still working. The elements weren’t getting as hot, taking longer to toast & bake so I replaced it. This appliance is a work horse in my kitchen, used 2-3 times a day and it’s simple to use, it’s perfect! I couldn’t live without it!

I bought this to replace an older but similar Cuisinart model. Unfortunately, the toast doesn’t brown as evenly as the prior one and the bake temperature seems to be off by around 20 degrees. I wanted to like this as much as the last one but I don’t. It’s adequate but not great.

This convection toaster oven is so much more than I imagined. Operating this is very user friendly. It not only works great but it looks good too. I have toasted bread, cooked frozen foods, bacon, roasted veggies, meats and casseroles. This one is superior to my old toaster oven by far!

    Very good basic toaster oven

For those looking for a basic toaster oven, this is a good choice. The controls are easy to use (even if the indicators on the knobs are a bit cryptic), and gives you all the standard modes. This unit replaced an old Cuisinart whose temperature knob was, um, a wee bit inaccurate. The new unit is spot on for temperature (tested with an oven thermometer). We keep our sliced bread in the freezer to maintain freshness. The toast darkness control gets you anywhere from barely defrosted to almost burnt. Test a few slices when you get it! When the toast cycle is done, a pleasant beep sounds 5 times. The burners are somewhat protected by metal baffles, so most crumbs that fall down when toasting don’t go up in smoke. The crumb tray is easy to clean. I have not tried the bagel or broiler mode, so have no comments on those. All in all, a good basic oven that doesn’t take up a lot of room on the counter (or in our case, on top of our small countertop microwave).

Cuisinart - High Quality Oven - Love It!

Just put this oven into service in my home! So far I'm VERY happy with it! Offers a wide range of settings and combinations of settings....a bit of a learning curve for me, but I love having a lot of options. Extremely spacious for a countertop oven, easily fits a 9x13 casserole dish and even a whole chicken. Has a sleek, stainless steel housing which is easy to clean and best of all, the temperature settings are accurate!!! Very important to me....so right out of the box, I tested the oven at various settings with two different oven thermometers and the temp settings were within a degree of each other. Excellent. Only one little thing I would change......I would ask that it included a dedicated 'air fry' setting. I would use it often if it did. All in all, a terrific piece of equipment and I enjoy using it. Thanks Cuisinart

the Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven, Stainless Steel, (TOB-260N1) is a great oven. big enough for baking and cooking that I would usually use my double oven for but small enough to fit on the countertop. 12" pizza... no problem. side of veggies for dinner... no problem. cupcakes... no problem. toasting 12 slices of bread... no problem. need convection?... no problem. the built in timers and two stage cooking are a game changer. I kept my old cusinart 20 years because I was afraid of change. stupid me. I should have upgraded years ago. this oven looks better, heats fast, cooks better and has features that allow me to spend more time on other food prep and complicated cooking while it does all the work. if you have a small place or need an compact oven I recommend it! a great choice if you have a high speed double oven for show but want a countertop "toaster oven" for daily cooking. worth the price for Cuisinart quality, fit and finish. did I mention that the stainless finish looks awesome? one note: make sure you have a few inches of ventilation space right, left and above this bad boy because it gets hot and needs space to radiate heat and avoid melting plastics or flammable items (napkins, etc).

Great toaster oven! Purchased a smaller Cuisinart toaster oven a few years ago, still using it and it’s still going strong. Love Cuisinart products! This oven is large enough for a full size casserole. Great for larger dishes, also great for baking. Absolutely love this oven. I use both the regular bake option as well as the convection option. Great purchase! Great price! Very highly recommend this product.

We had to get ours replaced with the manufacturer because it keeps glitching and won’t turn on, which kept happening. We had it replaced and it did it with the second one. Would NOT recommend this to anyone. Two of them stopped working within 2 years.

    Return of toaster

    2 out of 5 stars
    Effie - 4 months ago

This toaster was returned because the door stuck while the toaster was on and was very difficult to open all the time. Also the temperature setting was so that bread could only be toasted on light setting or it would burn. The toaster received because of the return also required a setting at light for toasting whole wheat bread. The thermostat on these toasters needs to be reset.
