Get chopping in a flash with the Cuisinart 11 Cup Food Processor. This large 11-cup food processor shreds, chops, mixes, slices and kneads. The powerful motor really gets the job done with ease. For even more precise results the convenient press and pulse button gives you the control you want. The razor sharp stainless-steel chopping blade will glide right through - creating the perfect salsa. Food processors make chopping fun – you’ll be making your own hummus, pesto and garlic aioli in no time at all.
Although this looks sleeker and has more horsepower than our old (less expensive) food processor, it simply doesn't work as well. It appears to be a design problem with the chopping blade, with leaves large chunks of matter while over-processing some of the same. It just doesn't do a very good job. (For example, carrots will end up liquefied or in chunks, but it's hard to get anything in between!) We're putting this one in storage and will use it for emergencies if the old one fails. Really disappointed!
It is a good size food processor but very heavy base. I don't have a lot of counter space so it has to be stored in cabinet when not in use. Lifting it from cabinet to counter is not an easy move for senior citizen with arthritis. The nuts were chopped too fine even when I used the pulse function. I imagine with some design changes/ advancement, there should be a way of keeping the blade stay put until you are done with all the chopping. Instead every time you empty the container, the blade came out with all the chopped food.
I recently switched over to a Cuisinart due to experiencing poor quality and lack of power issues from a new Kitchen-Aid food processor. Side by side and dollar for dollar it’s painfully obvious who makes the better food processor nowadays, Cuisinart is hands down the most powerful and best by far, in its price point and performance. Although the style is drab & basic, I HIGHLY recommend this product!
So nice! Already made oat flour and falafels. Nice kind of compact size, good quality feel, not very noisy - replaces a kitchenaid that sounded like I was jackhammering the kitchen counter. It has a permanent place on the counter of my small galley kitchen. Got it on sale, hope it lasts forever!
