Q: does this grind beans fine enough to make espresso in French press?

submitted by Su - 3 years ago
  • A: Absolutely! Grid at capacity for 40 seconds for your desired fine grind. Enjoy!

submitted byProduct Expert - 3 years ago

  • A: Per the online manual and assuming you are filling the vessel to full capacity with your beans, you would grind the beans for 40 seconds to achieve the fine grind recommended for espresso.

  • A: I agree with everything Pieper wrote - looks nice but makes a mess every day. Ridiculous design. I don't recommend.

Good grinder, comes with a learning curve.

The design of the grinder is good, the coffee gets ground up well, I just wish there was a way we would know when the beans are ground enough. I'm getting the knack by listening to it, but I can see how a burr grinder might be able to be adjusted to make sure the grounds are the right size.

Despite being marketed as quiet, this thing is LOUD. I’ve had this for about 3 years and despite not liking it, I couldn’t justify buying a new one. I think it says something that when the inside plastic piece holding the blade started chunking apart and becoming part of my grinds, both my spouse and I were ecstatic because it finally meant we could replace it guilt-free.

Grinder blade has to work overtime as it is flimsy. It broke already. We've had it a couple months is all. Be better off buying a higher end grinder that has better blade and various speeds.

Works well, but small

Only has one grinding setting. I like the ones that you can choose. It’s also fairly small so each round will probably hold maybe 3 pots of coffee. Otherwise it’s small and works great.

A Veteran User

This is our 2nd Cuisinart Grind Central, our first lasted about 25 years, using it approximately 4 times/ week average. After about a month of use I am skeptical this one will serve that long. Grinder shaft seems loose. It does a great job of grinding coffee beans! A bit noisy but good grind.
