This book is a collection of more than 40 peer-reviewed papers from the 13th China International Nanoscience and Technology Symposium held in October 2014. The papers are divided into three chapters. "Chapter 1: Synthesis and Preparation of Nanomaterials," reflects work done in: nanoimprinting lithographics; palladium nanoparticles synthesized by bio-templates for Suzuki coupling reaction; preparation conditions of nano-silver substrate used for SERS determination of thiophene; synthesis and property of neutral silicone glass sealant; and the preparation and characterization of nanometer gallium nitride b gas-solid reaction, among other areas. "Chapter 2: Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials: Frontiers of Application and Properties," contains papers on, among other things: nanometer delay charges for millisecond blasting caps; 1200 mesh silicon carbide corona protection varnish with epoxy/OMMT nano-composite adhesive; design of temperature signal detection system in electrolysis cell of nano-carbon; and the fabrication of TiN thin film and its inhibition of secondary electron emission properties. Sample research paper subjects in "Chapter 3: Frontiers of Micro-Materials and Technologies, Applications," are biocompatible microcapsule of carboxymethyl/cellulose/chitosan as a drug carrier; fabrication of BPPO isoporous membranes for water treatment; and creep and microstructure of an anion PP fiber covered colored cotton textile yarn.
