Directions clean the skin thoroughly before using this product cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor if bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.

Q: Are you supposed to rinse it off? The directions say you should, but other toners say to leave on.

  • A: I wanted to know the answer to this same question. I splash rinse it off. I don't do a hardcore rinse. I wash my face in the morning and night. And if my face is really bad, I will leave this stuff on from my nightly wash without splash rinsing it off. And then my morning wash will rinse it off. Hope this helps. \(^_^)/

    I used to use a name brand, which was similar to this Target brand, then when I couldn’t find it anywhere, my daughter told me about this one, and it works just as well. It actually is more of an astringent, not a toner, and I use it after working out, and at night, to clean out makeup, and dirt, and it does a great job, without being harsh on my sensitive skin!     Good product, bad packaging - all of them leak unless they're stored upright.

    Good product, bad packaging. If they end up on their side they leak out, when fully closed. Sometimes they end up on my bed (I use it every day), I won't notice they're on their side, and a bunch of toner spills on my bed. Why not ensure a seal on a liquid product???

    Improved formula

    New bottle, new formula! The Up & Up Toner now has more aloe leaf juice in it. I find the toner to be extra hydrating, less filmy and very comfortable to use. I don't feel the need to rinse my face after using it. The toner still cleans well, feels refreshing, smells great and helps control the oiliness my combination skin .
