The crib is exactly what I needed but the smell is terrible! It’s giving me a headache! I’ve had it out of the packaging for several days now and the smell is still just as strong. It’s like someone spray painted it! I haven’t been able to use the crib yet because I don’t want my son to breathe this in. What the heck are they using to paint this crib? Spray paint?!
We received the crib a few days ago and I've removed it from its packaging and placed it in a well ventilated room so that the toxic chemical stink airs out before placing my infant in this crib. A little terrifying to receive something with such a strong toxic smell. After 4 days, the smell is still not gone and we need to wait longer to see what how the crib actually functions but I'm questioning whether or not to keep it due to the smell of the materials. Would really love to know what materials and finishes are used to make this crib since there are little ones using it. I've had to "air out" new furniture before, but none had quite this strong of a chemical odor.
We are room sharing with our third LO, so this crib is the perfect size. It folds up easily for portability if needed and the mattress height can also be changed easily. I love that it’s on wheels too! The mattress is quite thin so I ordered a mattress (dream on me for portable cribs) and now it’s ready for baby! My husband assembled the crib in 30 mins without much complaining, I held a few parts in place, but can be done quickly by one person. I like this much better than a bassinet if you’re on the fence...it will last much longer. Great value even with buying a mattress separately.
My son transitioned out of the bassinet and into a pack and play but he hated it. I think the mattress may have been too noisy. Plus I had to bend so far down to get him. So far he’s doing great with this mini crib! It was fairly easy to put together (I was able to do it while my husband was at work). The mattress is firm but quiet so he sleeps better. I can raise it to the higher setting so that I don’t have to bend so far down to get him. We’ll eventually put him in a regular crib in the nursery but this is a great transition crib so far. Great for the price!
Delta's portable mini crib is just what I was looking for. It is solid, sturdy, has great wheels, and stands nicely when collapsed. Good size for my visiting granddaughter. Now she can feel more at home while visiting. The wood is not as good (has blemishes and knicks) as I had hoped, but definitely sufficient for its price. When putting together, the base goes in the crib before you finish assembly, instructions are misleading. The mini mattress seems to have enough cushion. Have not used it yet, tonight will be the test run.
