As a previous review states, this item is more distressed than it appears in pictures. I like this farmhouse-style look. However, it comes with a metal plate in the front with “Gunderson Company” on it. Definitely changes the style. Since this item was the exact size that I needed, I decided to remove the plate, fill small holes, and paint. I like this item now, but would not have purchased it if I knew it came with the metal plate.
