If you want alcohol free, buy the "Gentle Balance Toner" of this brand. The label says "alcohol free". It has a purple lid. I use 100% witch hazel and even though it has 14% natural alcohol, it does not sting or dry out my face. It is not like rubbing alcohol.

Q: The description says "fragrance free" but some reviews mention smell. Is it a strong smell? Does the smell stay on your face after you use it, or does it dissipate and go away?

A: It does have a natural smell from the ingredients (as opposed to being artificially perfumed), and I do feel it's kind of pungent. But it doesn't stick around, and it's a smell you'll get used to as you use the product.

I'm not a doctor nor any other professional so I can't say in correct terms what makes it good. I can say it's refreshing as a skin wash and it keeps me feeling comfortably clean. I use Dickinson's Witch Hazel at least 4-5 days a week, every week. That too, I started with Dickinson's brand so many decades ago and I've stuck to the same brand. Over the years, the bottle has changed but the Witch Hazel hasen't been changed. So, that's about all.

What a game changer! I’ve always used the garnier makeup removing toner. And it would always leave my skin feeling dry & red blemishes. It was causing me to break out, I casually was searching for a new toner/ makeup remover and I stumbled on this! All I must say is “WOW”!! I’ve been using it for exactly one week and I could see the difference my pimples are going away and my skin feels soft. Yes, the smell is a bit strong however it’s not a problem to be honest if I see that it’s working. I totally recommend also the price is great for the size!

I’ve used every toner in the market and I’ve always find my sling getting either too dry, getting more breakouts, or just burns my skin excessively. NOT THIS TONER THO! This is my go to toner since the beginning of this year and I’ve received so many compliments on my skin looking “perfect”. I recommend trying it 2 or 3 times a week before turning it into a daily routine to see if your skin is okay with the toner. You will receive great results if you’re consistent for two or three weeks!

I was born with eczema and I have very sensitive skin meaning I cannot use a wash towel or any other agents on my face but organic cotton balls and witch hazel like astringent. It removes dirt from face and neck, does not dry but soothes my skin like no other product on the market. Highly recommend this product for use.

My mother taught me young about the benefits of using Witch Hazel as a toner. From puberty through adulthood (including pregnancy and postpartum) this product has been a lifesaver. I rush to put it on when I feel a pimple coming on or weekly for maintenance care (I have more dry than oily skin). It helps with my eczema and heals acne quickly. It even reduces puffiness and the appearance of dark circles from those sleepless newborn nights! Can't recommend Witch Hazel, specifically this brand enough!
