I bought this for a gift for a 6yr old who recently started getting interested in places. I've been looking for a globe that clearly shows the states of the US with boundaries. According to the pictures shown and on the side of the box the globe should do that, however, the US is just one color with a couple cities listed, not at all what the pictures show. Besides that, the globe itself is a good size. It also has a light sensor on it, so if you put batteries in it or plug it in, it will show off what earth would look like from space at night. The ON switch just activates the light sensor, but it will only light up in a dark room or with some darkness. At first I thought it was broke because we weren't in a dark enough room during the day to see any lights come on, as the globe itself doesn't illuminate without darkness.
