Disney's a Christmas Carol

I can’t even believe how bad this movie was. Scary, boring, odd. I’m shocked by any decent reviews. I will try to find a different version for my 7 and 4 year olds because the message is important.

Loved it so realistic.... would buy again 4 all the kids or adults who love Christmas classics

This is a great version of a Christmas Carol. Great family movie. It is a bit scary in 1 or 2 parts for little kids (5 yr. old?), but older kids will be fine with it. Gives a more Christian view of what Christmas should be about, and my family loves that!

This is my son's favorite movie! Jim Carrey did an outstanding job.

We were hoping for a magical holiday movie for the whole family to watch. The animation is like Polar Express and the cast is great. But the story dragged needlessly throughout the movie and there were other areas they rushed through. And some of the faces gave my seven year old nightmares. We were really looking forward to it and were very disappointed. It was honestly boring and not worth our time.

I saw this movie and thought it would be nice but turned out to be.. SCARY! Almost through the whole movie these little girls were so scared the were in a group with their eyes closed.

I enjoyed this movie. I think that it's a little too frightening for children. I also believe the roles of Scrooge and Bob Cratchet could have been switched between actors, [...]. Frankly in my eyes, Gary better fits the role of Ebenezer Scrooge however, Jim Carrey did a great job for what it was worth. I also believe that some of the most important parts of the story were cut too short, though I'm glad that for the most part, they were, at least introduced, in this film. For example, the relationship between Scrooge and his former girlfriend should have been better explained. In fact, in this version, we don't even find out her name which is a shame. The fact that she ended their relationship explains a great deal about Scrooge's present personality trend. Finally, if you're not a die hard Charles Dickens fan such as I and don't mind some of the small discrepancies in this version of "A Christmas Carol," you will surely enjoy this movie!!

This is not your typical cheery Christmas Carol. It's more on the dark side, maybe a little too scary for the younger set. Animation is very well done. Had to keep reminding myself they're not real people but animation. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It will be one movie to watch every holiday.

I figured it had to be wonderful [...]but it was so scary we had to turn it off. Stick with the originals and don't buy this. Our six and four year old were scared [...]. I didn't realize that a christmas movie could be so scary. I would rent before you buy this!
