Q: Under the front part of the seat, there are 2 double metal bars that swivel, what are they for? It came with no instructions. They seem important, but no idea what for.

I was super excited to purchase this chair but when guest service brung it out it had no box, no plastic. That is unsanitary, target has to do better. I can say that My daughter loves laying on it with her quilt while on her iPad watching movies. The chair is comfortable for a child her age 11 or a teen but not for an adult to sit for long periods. It has a metal piece that separates the middle that is annoying. The chair also makes a squeaking noise when you move. This chair would be great if it had more cushion. I would not repurchase again unless they make with more cushion.

This is great for college students or anyone who has a smaller space. Pretty comfy too! It feels a little flimsy but it works for me. I preferred this over the futons my location had in stock.

This chair for its price is surprisingly sturdy, I expect a flimsy foldable chair that I would use for family events. To my surprise it has a strong base and a nice firm cushion and for its price it’s found its way as a permanent addition to my living room right next to my couch!
