Q: Are the measurements marked in blue or are they etched in clear?
submitted by amf3689 - 7 years ago
A:Â The old ones were etched in. Now the numbers are blue.
submitted byaybee17 - 7 years agoA:Â Thank you for your inquiry. The Dr. Brown's initially had embossed measurements and now they are being ink printed. This was a running change.

Worst purchase ever! These bottles leak and this company has so many similar reviews yet they keep on selling the same faulty products. Shame on this company and anyone promoting these bottles as safe! These are beyond safe! They leak everywhere. Waste of money and waste of formula.

Im sorry but these bottles really aren’t that great. They leak no matter how full they are. After baby is done eating, I take the bottle away only to have milk pour out down the bottle and all over my hands, furniture, all over the baby. I’ve been using them for 3 months and each time I am frustrated by how bad they leak. I honestly don’t know what the big hype is about these bottles… I can’t be the only one having this issue. I am going to switch to EvenFlo bottles, I am done messing with Dr Browns leaky ones. They would be great if they didn’t leak so bad! I never fill them past the line so there should be no reason for this, and I assemble all the bottle’s correctly!

I was so determined and excited to use Dr.Browns, but They all leak! On thier website they say it's because the the nipple flow is too slow so it builds pressure, so I went up a size in the dr browns brand nipple and it's too fast of a flow for my baby. We have tried putting the lids on tighter, looser, and they still leak. There is nothing more aggravating than feeding at 3am and having milk run down the bottle and making a mess especially breast milk that you've worked hard for. When you google Dr.Browns there are multipleartices about them leaking. On their Facebook page, all you see are comments about how they leak. They are too expensive to be leaking. Hopefully soon we will be learning to use a sippy cup (not dr browns brand.) And we won't have to deal with this anymore.

Picture it, you've finally cleaned your house, changed into fresh clothes, and babe is snug as a bug. Then, you go to feed and there is milk EVERYWHERE! Milk leaking all over babe, milk rings on every surface, even milk drops on the floor. These bottles aren't worth it. Leaking aside, the vents are a pain to clean and the brush that comes with does less than ideal job. The vent is required to assemble the bottle so you can't even ditch those. Trouble shooting suggests getting a different flow nipple and that still doesn't seem to help with the leaks. I suggest trying a different brand because how much should you have to spend to fix a problem that shouldn't be there in the first place.

These bottles drip all the time. I have other Dr. brown bottles with different lid style and have no issues with them, these however I constantly have issues even with the covers in them. The colic part always comes apart too.

Bought 2 packs of these bottles and they both leaked. I think this was a faulty shipment because I have these same bottles and those don’t leak.

Expensive bottles that provide no benefits. Switching to these provided absolutely no noticeable reduction in how gassy our kid was and the both 4 and 8 oz bottles leak like crazy. Following Dr Browns instructions doesn't help either. I am at a loss as to why there are so many 5 star reviews for these, I can only imagine we bought two sets both of which are defective? I can't imagine having your hand covered in gross formula every single time is fine for most people.

Baby milk flew everywhere while shaking my baby bottle. I took the lid off and tightened it again even tighter and the same thing happened again. My baby was only able to drink half a bottle because we were still forced to give it to him because it was the only bottle we brought with us to dinner. Milk leaked the entire time while he was drinking.

We bought these bottles because they’re so popular. We have been extremely disappointed. The nipples leak, SO bad. My baby is to the age where he likes to hold his own bottle but can’t with these because he gets absolutely soaked. Even putting the nipple into his mouth gets milk everywhere. Definitely would not recommend unless you want to get more milk on your baby than in their mouth.

I love these bottles. Minimum leakage and they’re light for the baby to hold himself. They have a lot of parts but I put them in the dishwasher and it’s not so bad to clean.
Leak too much.

My son is picky when it comes to bottles. This one is the only one he likes, however, this bottle spill so easy. I’ll leave a bottle with some milk in the frigid and I’ll always have to clean the rims because if I don’t, a whole oz or more will just come out.
Alright but not the best

Leaks if side feeding

I would say they are great for the nipple options, but #I is too fast after having baby on preemie nipples before. And side feeding is necessary to slow down the flow. However, if nanny is drinking from this bottle sideways, the bottles leak, no matter how well I align and assure everything is assembled properly. I am exclusively pumping and it’s aggravating to watch the milk just drip out as I feed my baby.
