Description

Dr. Scholl's® Run Active Comfort Insoles are specifically designed for runners to help relieve and prevent pain from runner’s knee, shin splints, and plantar fasciitis. These insoles provide support, added cushioning, and shock absorption so that you can stay active and on your feet for longer!

Why It Works:
As you run, the foot can be subject to the shock of 2-3 times your body weight with every step. Over time, this repetitive impact can cause painful injuries like runner’s knee, shin splints, and plantar fasciitis.
Dr. Scholl’s® Run Active Comfort Insoles reduce shock, which helps reduce the discomfort and fatigue in feet and legs and helps prevent common running injuries.

How To Use:
1) Your shoe’s current insoles may be removeable, if they are take them out FIRST.

2) Place the removeable insoles against the back of your Dr. Scholl’s® insole and trim to match the old insole size. If your shoes’ insoles aren’t removeable, cut to your shoe size using the trim guide found on the bottom of your insole near the toes.

3) Place insoles in your shoes’ toes first with the cloth side UP. Ensure the insole heel rests firmly in the heel of your shoe.

Recommend replacing insoles every six (6) months or at first sign of wear.

Q: how thick is the insole on the ball of the foot spot? also do you make a heavier insole than this? (more cushioning on the ball of the foot) thank you

submitted by cccccc - 3 years ago
  • A: The Dr. Scholl’s Athletic Series insoles were designed with a thicker ball of foot (and forefoot in general) than our other PRO and MG insoles. However, know that thickness is not the key to ensuring that needed cushioning is available for the ball of foot but relies heavily on the materials used to make our insoles. Dr. Scholl’s uses a specially formulated open cell polyurethane foam material to ensure that the material can provide sufficient cushioning energy to protect the ball of foot under both walking and running conditions. This insole was tested using industry standard methods to ensure that it would provide sufficient cushioning would be available for all persons considering a broad weight range and foot size to ensure the insole’s performance would deliver sufficient cushioning and protection for the ball of foot during landing and push off. Based upon the proprietary nature of our designs, we cannot make our product specifications available.

Q: I wear a size 10 shoe. Will these work? I don't see a size for over 9.

Q: I'm curious why these cost so much more than the men's running insoles? Does the pink dye really cost that much more?

submitted by Karrie B - 6 years ago
  • A: Maybe something has changed since you posted this question, but the men's and women's versions are now the same price.

Run Insoles Sizing

1 out of 5 stars

You used to make a men's large and extra large in the Run style insert. Please consider doing this again! You can't expect the arch for a size 8 to be in the proper position when the arch is positioned to accommodate a size 14. Please!

Super comfortable! They feel like they are messaging my feet as I run/walk. They have formed nicely around my foot and fit well in my running shoes.

Unfortunate change to the new version which requires cutting to fit, which rarely works well. The older version just slipped right in to my running shoes and has worked great for years. Disappointed in the change to the larger size/"cut to fit". Might not have bought a pair if I'd realized this before checking out. Why "fix what ain't broke"???

missing a large normal size range

bug99 - 9 months ago

Good insole at a fair price, but there is a very large gap in the available sizes. There are only two sizes of this product. Size 1 is W 5.5-9, and size 2 is M 10.5-14. That is a very big gap in length and width. the size 2 cant be correctly trimmed below 10.5, thus missing the women's 9.5 to 11.5 / men's 8.5 to 10 sizes. There should be a third size, and each size should list the M and W range. Why is the thinner but more contoured "performance sized to fit running" insole 2.5x as expensive?

Not good for small feet

These are terrible for small feet. Since you only trim from the top, the arch ends up completely misaligned in the ball of your foot. Only purchase is you are a size 7+

Been buying these for years, works for me much better than any pricier ones I bought from specialty stores. This may sound funny but these work best for me when I don’t trim them to size. I wear a 7.5 in running shoes and I just force these in. I trimmed my first pair and the arch didn’t feel quite right but when I used them without trimming, it improved the feel of the arch and my heel. I also don’t experience squeakiness as much (although in one pair of Nikes it drove me nuts and I had to remove them). I rotate between several pairs of running shoes as well as replace these inserts and it has helped extend the life of my running shoes before replacing.
