I bought two boxes of the devils food cake. It was light brown instead of dark. It also had a coconut favor. Was there a mix up with the german chocolate ?

I have used the Devil’s Food cake mix for 30+ years for my husband’s birthday cake. What a disappointment this year! The mix resulted in a very dry, dense, and tasteless cake. Sadly I will not be purchasing this product ever again. I wish changes had not been made to the mix.
