Same thing as all these other posts: corroded negative ends, right out of the package. These are the most expensive batteries on the shelf and they can’t be used even once.

Leaking in sealed packaging

From a big box store for use on vacation. When needed two months after purchase several of the AA batteries had leaked in the still unopened packaging leaving only one not damaged. A similar AAA purchase seems ok. So much for long shelf life on the AAs. Now I have 12 unusable batteries.

These batteries leak in the package, leaked in my thermostat, leaked in my remote. They were less than 3 months old. AVOID damage, avoid these batteries!

I bought the 6 pack of the AA batteries was able to use two of them in my toothbrush; the rest of them were corroded in the package. It's not fair, I didn't know you had to use them quickly. Here are some photos.

They all leaked. A pair leaked into my xbox controller and the others leaked on their own in the package. I would recommend almost any other battery over the optimum.

3rd time purchasing these batteries. First time was flawless. The last 2 purchases... the batteries are already turning white from corrosion sitting on display.

Short lived, all began leaking

Bought an AA 28 pack, and the charge of the optimum ones are shorter than the normal Duracell’s I used before. I made it half way through a pack and had switched the batteries in my controller 3 days ago and all of them began to leak both in the packaging and in the controller. Broke my newest controller and had to spend quite a bit of time trying to get the controller to work again. It started working again for now, but brand new batteries shouldn’t nearly destroy a new controller.
