I NEVER write review but this one I just can't let go. Received this rug in October and it looks like it is 10 years old already. You can't clean it. Pieces are pulling out of place and it is NOT in a high traffic area. As pieces pull out of the weave there is some type of red/brown clumps of something coming out.........not even sure what it is. For a rug over 400.00 I would assume it would at least stand up for more than 4 months. I would love to return it. Weighs a ton!
We have had this rug for about 1 year, so after enough use I feel very confident when I say DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! It is in a room that doesn’t have too much foot traffic, so one major flaw wasn’t immediately recognized. Issues are 1. Some type of plaster pieces are in the rug. I was able to take them out. 2. The rug definitely unweaves very easily - even without much foot traffic. 3. The kids happened to be rolling around on it recently and that is when I noticed it SHEDS! I vacuum regularly, but never really noticed the shedding until there was blue all over the kids clothes. Even with frequent vacuuming it continues to shed. We just replaced it with a similar color rug but different much nicer material. Don’t end your rug search with this one. Keep looking!!
This is a beautiful rug, I bought the runner for my kitchen and the matching 6x9 for under my dining room table. Unfortunately, the weave is so loose we were getting snags right away and it even came with some. The instructions say to vacuum often, so we tried a little section and it pulled up multiple weaves immediately. Like others have said, it sheds like crazy and the blue could potentially stain your wood floors if you're not careful. Really sad I have to return, but this rug is already turning into a mess within one week of use. Suitable for an area that will never receive a lot of traffic, but what is the point of that?
Like many other reviewers, I first saw this rug on Emily Henderson's site. I worried it would not be soft enough for the bedroom, but its great. Its not super plush shag, but its not rough or uncomfortable. Note that the 9X12 was very heavy, and it was a workout to get it in position under the bed. But I'm really happy with the way it looks!
It is a beautiful rug. But the shedding will not stop. I bought a runner for my foyer, but all the shedding on cherry wood completely ruined the effect. I wish it was treated for shedding before being sold. I was very excited about this rug but it was a disappointment. Had to return :(
I love the Indigo Jute Wovwn Runner. The color is perfect, looks like the picture. Be prepared for shedding and loose fibers, but this is the nature of jute. I bought the first one in store and ordered another the next day at a cheaper price...hmmm.
