I bought this and took it to a relatives house for the kids to do after dinner. we opened it up and the bag of white frosting and all the candy decorations were missing!! embarrassing. so all we pretty much got were poor tasting cookie pieces that we couldn't even put together.

This was a joke! The pieces weren’t matching up. The side walls were extremely small and weren’t going to hold up the house frame. And if the pieces were all the same size, there wasn’t going to be enough icing to “glue” them. The pouch was not even 1/2 filled. We just threw it all in the trash. Worst money spent.

The cookies were the only redeeming part of this kit. The frosting was IMPOSSIBLE to use. No matter how much I massaged it, put it in warm water to soften, etc it would not spread. The bag ended up breaking, and even when applied with a knife it wouldn’t stick to the cookies. I ended up just letting my kid mess around with it and eat the cookies.

The base was cracked. Also, the cookies taste terrible. They are not your typical sugar cookies. They tasted like cardboard. The example on the box is misleading. There are no flower candies. They created the flower decorations from the sprinkles. No human, especially a child, will have the patience to cut a sprinkle in half to form the leaves of the flower.

Since we didn’t try any of the cookies, I can’t speak to the flavor, but the house was easy to assemble (for an adult who’s generally wary of food architecture) and the icing was sturdy and quick to dry. The kit came with two frosting colors: one big bag of white and one small tube of blue. Unfortunately, the small tube burst at the seam, but to be fair, it was being handled very enthusiastically by a little kid. I scraped the frosting into a zip-lock bag, cut off a corner, and it was fine. If you want to build a more ornate house, I might recommend getting extra frosting colors and extra candy. Peeps and jelly beans were a fun and inexpensive addition in my experience :). My 3-yr-old nephew really enjoyed this
