The eclipse™ Room Darkening Rod features a unique bracket design allowing the curtain to wrap around the side of rod to block window sidelight. The wrap around feature also enhances privacy and reduces outside noise and drafts. The oval-shaped brackets conceal the mounting screws when the rod is installed. The eclipse™ Room Darkening Rod is adjustable to accommodate your window size and can be used for light and medium weight curtains. To maximize energy efficiency, pair with thermal curtains. To maximize light control, pair with room darkening curtains. Mounting hardware is included.

We had a devil of a time getting the rods figured out and then installing them. I had planned to put a third panel up, but in order to do that the whole rod has to be taken apart because of the center brace. that is a big problem, but decided to not use a third panel. These curtain rods are inexpensive, but they are also cheap. There is only one small screw on each end that attaches them to the wall, and we had long light-blocking curtains to use these in my children's rooms. The plastic is very cheap. Does not seem durable at all, especially now that it is installed and the pieces that came with it did not fit together properly so it made installation very cumbersome.
