Q: Serious Question... Is this for Caucasian hair too? Looked up best gel for fine hair and this came up but all videos are of African American women?

A: White guy here with very fine hair. Considering the price, this is the best gel ever. Super cheap and holds well without that crunchy feeling. My wife is mixed and she uses it too...that’s how I first found out about it. Never thought we could ever share products.

Q: is it silicon,paraben,alcohol,preservative,and sulfate free?i keep trying to see the label on the website and it won't show me all the ingredients.it only shows me the inactive ingredients.

I have been using this product for a few years now. When I first started using it, it was affordable and worked well and main selling point was no flakes. Not sure what happened to the formula over the past six months or so, but it has definitely changed and now flakes when dry. Not happy with this product at the moment. Hopefully the formula changes back to its non flaky formula….

I love that eco is affordable and alcohol free. I use it daily in my curly hair. When I first started using it, I found that it can cause buildup and over time make my hair less soft. Now I cut it with water and no longer have those problems.

I have baby fine and somewhat thin hair with a mix of 2c waves and 3a loose curls. This gel gives me a light to medium hold. Pros: not crunchy or sticky after breaking a cast, no flaking, hair feels soft, nice shine, not damaging, works with or without a leave in conditioner. Cons: takes longer to air dry than gel with a similar consistency, hold starts to fade by the end of the day, not easy to refresh for day 2 or 3 with without adding lots more gel. In general, I recommend this because it is unlikely you will find something better for the price, and you can probably work with it and get good results even if it is not perfect.

This gel dries and leaves hair soft. I bought it to be able to do a slick ponytail, but the gel doesn’t work for it. I like that it helps my curls develop and leaves them soft, but that wasn’t the intended purpose. I’m also not a fan of the scent.

I’ve used eco for years since going natural. I was using another gel that gained popularity recently, but I had to come back to the OG. This gel actually works for slicking my hair back, Wash n goes AND slicking my edges unlike the other gel. I believe this is a stronger holding gel.
