Bought this for our 4yo son who is obsessed with all things rockets and space. Based on the reviews I thought he'd love it, but the toy is very rarely used. The pictures are hard to focus on unless you're perfectly positioned, making them look almost blurry. You can't turn off the speaker so if you're looking through the pictures, you get non-stop talking. The facts are cool which my 4yo enjoys listening too, but he doesn't care much to take the quizzes yet. I'd say this toy should be more for the 6-8yo age range. Overall - it's an alright toy but I would not buy this again.

It's safe to say we have fallen in love with the whole GeoSafari range! They've created yet another fun, easy to use, education tool! It's absolutely fantastic!! As a household, we are avid space fans, whilst we own two telescopes we often find our 6-year-old, getting frustrated with the cloudy sky or not knowing what to look for! With this fantastic GeoSafari tool, we don't need to wait for nightfall, or a clear sky - We can switch it on and instantly start exploring! Being able to use the telescope with ease and comfort thanks to the soft eyepiece/headrest, means we've found they reach for this telescope time and time again. The user is able to access much more than stars as it includes different planets (Something normal telescopes would never manage!). The telescope is suitable for both our three-year-old and for our more experienced six-year-old, he is able to access the quiz setting and test himself and tests our knowledge too! We have already recommended this to our parents!

Both of my children think this telescope is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I thought it was a bit weird that it was called a telescope but didn't involve you actually looking at the real night sky but it certainly didn't disappoint. The children have learned so much by using this really fun piece of kit. It's easy for them to use and they're able to take charge of whether they want to listen to facts or take the quiz and there are so many slides that are easily moved on by using a dial so they're never bored. My son (4yrs) in particular was blown away by what he'd found out and loved telling everyone in the family all about his discoveries. Thank goodness we didn't have spend ages focusing it on the night sky which in my experience of using a telescope is very time consuming! This is a great first introduction to telescopes.

What is not to love about this telescope? My 3-year-old has been obsessed with the moon and stars for a while now so this was the perfect gift, she really enjoys playing with this to look at the moon, planets, and other items. From 120 fun, interesting facts to colourful eye-catching pictures this telescope is perfect for small children to begin learning about space and spaceships. It is bulky enough to withstand use from smaller children whilst still being small enough and light enough for them to carry around easily. It is colourful with easy-to-use buttons on the top a slider dial on the side to change pictures easily whilst still looking in the lens which has a soft exterior making it comfortable to use. It has a sturdy tripod and pivots easily to allow for easy use by all members or the family.

BEST TELESCOPE FOR 3-7 YEARS!

I can honestly say, I was a bit dubious about this telescope at first.. What kind of telescope is it, if you can't actually see through it?.. AMAZING..! That's what it is!. This has to be one of the best things we have ever got for our boys!. Being space mad 4 and 6 year olds, they have been asking for a telescope for what seems like an eternity. Unlike other telescope's, they can not only actually SEE the different planets and stars, but they can learn all about them too! The eyepiece is very soft, and easy for them to look through, even with glasses on, which was important to us. There are 24 different images for them to look through, and a staggering 120 different facts. After your child has been through these, you can change the mode to 'quiz' mode, and it will ask questions about the facts that they have learnt. This is so easy to use, my 4 year old can use this independently. I would highly recommend this to any young space fan, after only having this a week, my 4 year old is already reciting space facts to me that has learned so far. Don't let the fact that it's not a real telescope put you off.. it's BETTER than a real one!

My 7 year old has been learning about space and the solar system at school. He has loved reading books and searching the internet finding facts and information. So when I spotted this I thought he would love it. The telescope itself is a bit on the small side. But it makes up for that in its use. He was super excited to use it. There are lots of different images that can be selected from planets to stars and space debris. By simply rotating a cog on the side of the telescope. You also have buttons on it to select the mode, either fact or quiz modes . Each slide has simple but interesting facts. My son loves that he can use this independently to look up facts and do the quiz that follows. He has it pride of place in his bedroom underneath his glow in the dark stars! My younger son who is 5 also enjoys looking through it and listening to the facts. I would say it is best suited for 5-8 year olds. A great purchase for any space fan.

Best and fun way to teach preschoolers about solar system

My kids (ages 3.5 and 5.5) love this telescope! They kept saying it's so cool as they looked through all the different images of the space, planets and stars. They are at an age where they are starting to get really curious about the solar system so they ask a ton of questions. We love how this talking telescope teaches them 5 facts about each image. The telescope is the perfect size for preschoolers and it is the perfect way to introduce them to space. I love how after they have learned everything, there is a quiz mode (with 5 questions for each image!) that they can do. Also it is pretty cool that the audio can be switched to 4 different languages and the guide is also multilingual. The telescope is high quality and durable and I know my kids will be using this for a while. It is also teaching them to take turns and share since they have to wait their turn. Highly recommend for your toddlers and preschoolers as they start to learn about the solar system.

Cool Way For Little Ones to See & Learn About Outer Space

This is not a real telescope. Knowing that up front helped to temper expectations. With that said, this is an awesome way for little kids to see real photos of outer space up close! And I loved the extra bonus learning they get from the facts and quizzes - the telescope actually talks!!

Received this in the mail for our daughter as s Birthday gift from her grandma and it's garbage. Took it out of the box to set up, can't see a thing out of it, mirrors were not attached inside properly or securely and 3 of them were broken/cracked. Very cheaply made, and top make matters worse having a very excited little girl to get a telescope for her Birthday and it came broken!!
