I am extremely pleased with this cabinet. At this price, I obviously wasn't looking for the best build piece of furniture ever made but when this arrived, I was really pleased ! First, it arrived much earlier than expected and with free shipping, that was wonderful. It was packed great to avoid any damage. It took all of 2 minutes to screw the legs on and the drawer and cabinet pulls and it was done. The measurements were correct on the Target site and the colors were just beautiful. Again, this isn't the best piece of wood craftmanship ever made but comparing to anything else at this price, its fantastic and I am pleased. Exactly what I was looking for !
This is a nice looking chest, but the dimensions are not correct on the Target site. The dimensions given under details are for the box, not the chest itself. Chest is smaller by at least 2" on each dimension. Also the cabinet does not come with a shelf inside, even though there are wood braces on each side to hold a shelf. The finish on the piece is very nice, though.
I like the look of this cabinet, however, it was damaged apron arrival. The side walls are somewhat thin and one side of the cabinet was cracked severely. The inside cross bar on that side was broken also. The cross bar is where you could add a shelf. Nonetheless, I am keeping it. Shipping it back would be a hassle. I was able to push the cracked panel out from the inside so it doesn't look too bad. You can't really see that side the way it is positioned in the room.
Like i said, dollar for dollar, and on sale. It looks great. Once in your home, though, some of the idiosyncrasies come out. Like some of the rivets not being completely sunk or, and the big one for me, the fact that the drawer (the TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR DRAWER) barely opens or closes. Other than that, though, if it's a "look from afar" type of a piece, rather than a functional piece. It's great!
Love, love, love! Everything is made out of pressed wood lately, so I was happy to find something that is real wood! This will last for a long time, as it is sturdy. Goes perfect with my rustic themed living room!
Really liked the looks, but one of the doors cracked within two weeks. My husband assembled the hutch very carefully and pretty easily. We moved the hutch to the desired location, carefully, and there it sat- completely unused. I just noticed that one of the doors had popped open on it's own and, upon closer inspection, realized the wood slats had separated. No way are we keeping this thing if it broke on its own with zero weight added to it. It's really too bad because it's nice looking.
I love this little chest. It's the perfect addition to our playroom and holds our tv. The storage drawer and cabinet are spacious. The finish is very nice. I had to put the feet on and install the hardware, but both were simple tasks and I did it myself with ease. This is well worth the money!
