This is the first Biddeford blanket I've ever gotten. I usually buy Sunbeam but I wanted a cheaper queen electric blanket. It is soft but thin. I was heartbroken when my 15-year old electric blanket finally broke; electric blankets used to be much hotter than is allowed today. But this has turned out fine. Purchased this blanket and only had it one month, it worked properly for about a week and has just seemed to stop heating in certain parts of the coil, never washed.
