Only apps loaded on the TV are available; I could not use Amazon or any other app, even though I connected the WI-FI. Checked it out (unfortunately, after I purchased the TV) and found that it is limited to those shown (Netflix, Facebook, Pandora, YouTube, and a couple of others). Had I researched this better, I would have bought a smarter TV.
First "smart" TV, didn' twant to go overboard. Overalll pretty happy considering how little it cost. I have a roof antenna array and the broacast reception is very good with over 60 channels and good clarity on the HD channels. Using with Apple TV which gives me a lot more features and access to programing, streams, etc. Really bright image face on but bleaches out noticably when viewed at an angle.
Too many issues with this tv. First issue is the volume, 4 and below is way too low then 5 and above is blaring. The second issue is the remote, when it does work it has an extremely slow response, but a majority of the time the remote doesn’t respond at all. The third issue is any fast movement of a tv show or movie leaves a blurring effect. So much blurring that it literally made me dizzy and sick. Many LCD’s can have this effect however most of the newer LCD TVs have a way to adjust this issue by motion smoothing features but this particular tv does not offer any motion smoothing features. I returned this tv and purchased the 43” Element LCD tv (which was only $40 more) and I have not experienced any of these problems with the 43”. I highly recommend spending the extra $40 and purchasing the 43” as there are no issues with the volume, no issues with the remote to tv communication, no issues with the blurring, and the picture quality as well as the color is way better on the 43” than on the 40”.
