Unfortunately I saw people complaining about problems including remote control commands and I closed my eyes, now it's me who's in trouble, don't do it like me, get out, don't buy this bomb.

I have a hard time believing this is a 4K TV, the picture is no different than out 7 year old regular flat screen TV. We have tried everything to get this connected to our WiFi, whenever we ‘Scan network’ it says none is detected, our old TV, which connects easily, is now moved upstairs and whenever we want to watch Netflix we have to go up there. Volume has big differences from one level to another, either too quiet or blasting, with kids sleeping this is really inconvenient. Really wish we wouldn’t have purchased, not worth the trouble. Would not recommend this TV.

Here is the Real Review. Thank you all for your past reviews because they help shaped my purchase of this Element 55" 4K UHD Smart TV (E4SFT5517). First the overall rating of this TV is 5 stars. The picture is totaling wonderful. The 4K UHD is great. Also, my old 55 Inch LG TV due to the sun light coming in I had to keep the window blinds closed. Not with this new Element 55" 4K UHD Smart TV (E4SFT5517)! The sound is great! I have a sound bar that I used with my old 55 LG, but I have it setup in the rear of the new Element 55" 4K UHD Smart TV (E4SFT5517), because I do not need to have it on. This new tv take up lets space then my old 55 LG, but I have more TV screen real estate! The pre-installed smart apps are great! There are only two issues I have: 1. I cannot program my Xfinity X1 Voice Remote to the TV (Which I learned about from other reviews before buying) 2. Cannot get the Screen Cast to work right. (I will call customer service to get it fixed) Five Stars Thank you

Dumbest Smart TV Available

No More Elements - 2 months ago
Meh. If you already own a streaming stick and sound bar, it's a decent TV. If not, spend the money you would on the streaming stick and get another TV. Below level 3 on volume you cannot hear anything and level 3 is loud enough you wish you could turn it down. Couldn't get the cable box remote to sync with the TV, either. So if you have cable and a streaming stick, be prepared to use all the remotes. The "most popular" apps do not include hulu, spotify, disney+, specific channels to which you have subscribed access like PBS or CBS and there is no ability to download. Again, spend the money you would on adding a streaming stick to this TV and get a intelligent smart TV.

Defective

The Good: The picture looks great. I thought the sound quality was pretty good. It does only come with the preset apps but if you have Roku that isn't a very big deal (Note: If you have the Roku remote that also controls the TV power and volume those features are not yet compatible with this TV.) Overall I think this would be a great value TV...if it worked. The Bad: After about an hour of use the screen went black (while the sound continues as normal). Even after following customer supports instructions on doing a "power drain" the problem persisted and only got worse. After using the TV a few more times the intervals between the screen going black got shorter and shorter. The only thing that would "fix" the screen was turning the TV off and back on. During the course of one movie I had to do this 12 times. I was excited to find this tv at such a good price point, but it seems like this was a case of you get what you pay for. I will be returning and upgrading to something else.

Good TV but hdr seems to be present too ?

The TV looks perfect with some video tweaks. The brightness is a little low and the black levels could be better but it's good overall. A question for the element team. I know that the TV does not support HDR but when I use the firestick and my ps4 it shows hdr is turned on for those devices because hdr is supported. Additionally, the color mode in youtube when playing hdr videos is BT 2020 which indicates hdr is on. Is hdr actually supported? If not, then why are my firestick and ps4 detecting an hdr display? (Note: There is a visible difference when turning hdr on and off on the firestick and ps4)
