Ella Mai - Heart On My Sleeve (Target Exclusive)

idk who was singing on my vinyl but he was come off demonic. I had to return this mess.

I thought my record was defective and was about to return it because it DID NOT sound like Ella Mai… but I realized it was in slow motion and I just had to change the speed. Other than that, it played perfectly. It’s definitely olive green, the mock up photo they used is incorrect cuz that’s NOT the color of the vinyl.

The album is a beautiful color, but I wouldn’t call it an olive green. I was having issues at first playing it because it sounded like it was playing in slow motion. I had to end up switching my record player to 45 speed instead of 33, and it worked perfectly after that. Sound quality is great, but it should be stated that this would have to be played at a different speed.

My record is going slow motion. I love Ella Mai singing and I’m a big fan. It’s olive green not as green as I thought and I was looking forward to listening to the whole album but I can’t because it so slow. This one is the worst album from target I bought. I will still buy from target I just don’t know what happen to this one.

Ella Mai’s sophomore album is fire. 🔥

The vinyl is not olive/dark green like the one pictured in the product photo. It is more like a light lime.

First off, the music is great, my 3 stars doesn't reflect the music. Ella's music is 5 stars and will always be 5 stars for me, I love this album. The 3 stars is reflective of the actual LPs themselves. Some things are small; there is a bit of cosmetic damage around the hole for the spindle in both LPs and they play at a different speed than most 12-inch LPs do. The 3 stars really come down to the color of the vinyl being way off. The vinyl depicted on Target's website is a deep, dark olive green, it compliments the alternate album cover very well. What I got is a pastel mint-green. I have some pictures to help show this. Target's website isn't letting me upload the images with my review, so I'm hoping that they will put the pictures up with the product images, though I'm not too optimistic. I promise it's not a lighting issue, my pics include the album cover for comparison, it's not the same color as the website, which is a bummer for me. I'm hesitant to try and return it to just get the wrong color again; I want this album, I want the alternate album cover, but it would be nice to have the advertised vinyl color. The product is fully functional as far as I can tell so it doesn't deserve a lower score, but the product is not as advertised, and that's left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I'll be buying Target-exclusive vinyl in the future.

Good sophomore album. Ella really had taken a while to release the album but it was worth the wait. Every single song is amazing. No skips for me. Her vocals are amazing as always. I have a lot of favorites I'd buy and recommend this album for sure.
