1962 was a big year. Modernist design hit its peak and moved into homes across the country. And in Minnesota, Target was born — with the revolutionary idea to celebrate design for all. Project 62 embodies this legacy with a collection of modern pieces made for everyday living.
Great looking lamp at a great price. Easy to assemble, although some of the screw-ins were a little difficult. I bought the recommended 3 way bulb, it was a little pricey but what can you do? Purchased this lamp to dress up a stale corner in my living room. Definitely recommend.
Easy to put together. Shade was tilting when I placed it on so I needed pliers to twist the screw up vertically again. Also, the length of the cord was shorter than I expected. It wasn’t enough to reach behind my bed to the outlet. I’m using an extension cord.
First of all, I absolutely love this lamp. It’s modern yet still soft and ambient. The gold is perfect. I shopped forever for a lamp like this, and most were $200-$300. This one is comparable in style for a fraction of the cost. I also love that the cord is hidden inside one of the legs instead of dangling all the way in plain sight from the top. Even some of the more expensive ones lack this feature which really is necessary. I finally decided this was the best choice for a family of 6. I really do love it, but I’m giving it 4 stars because when putting it together, one of the pieces didn’t fit well. Now the whole balance of the tripod is off. All the legs need to be the same length for a tripod to work. One of the peg “foot” pieces that screws into the bottom of each leg just wouldn’t screw in. It wouldn’t fit into any of the legs, which was very frustrating. If I could drive to target and exchange it I would. Shipping it back and waiting again seems to much, so I’m keeping it. We had to unscrew each peg evenly, so it would sit level making it just not as sturdy. I was super disappointed in this. It just shows that with a less expensive item, you get a little less quality. Over all, I’m still happy with it. I just wish it would have all fit together as it should have.
