Q: I've has this cup for a few months now, and I still can't get rid of tge bad smell and taste. Those if us experiencing this (there are A LOT--it's not isolated) need answers and/or reimbursement.

We have identified this as an isolated incident that affected one order and have taken action to correct it. Our lids are made of wood with a food grade varnish and food grade silicone. All parts are completely safe of harmful chemicals, but can retain odor if not dried properly. We'd love to send you an odor-free replacement right away. Loved this cup until the wooden lid started to get really nasty and moldy. They should really consider changing the wood to something else bc once that’s ruined you no longer can use the cup with the straw and how it should be used. . I have three different colors and all three lids are ruined.

The cup itself works but it has a strong taste and smell similar to a hospital room. I bought it assuming it was non toxic but apparently there's something toxic no matter how much I wash the cup. Would not recommend anyone buying this product.

I was Looking for a glass water bottle. I happen to find this at Target. Great price, and quality. The only downside is that the water doesn't stay cold for long, even with ice. I read that using stainless steel water bottles isn't healthy and to use glass instead. Love this one, fits 16 oz oz of water. Unfortuantely, I misplaced mine and am running back to Target to get another before they run out. Only 5 left!!

I did not get to use my tumbler. I washed it last night and waited for it to dry. The next morning the wooden lid was split. I was so excited to use it but was deeply disappointed. I have a cabinet full of Ello products and this one definitely failed.

No way the sleeve on this is silicone. Been working in f&b for over 30 years. Good, food grade silicone should never smell. This smells like rubber. Rubber is latex. If this sleeve has latex in it, it could be trouble for someone with a latex allergy. Beware.

This tumbler has an awful chemical smell that won't go away no matter how much it's soaked and washed. I really liked the fact that it's glass and seemed easy to clean but the chemical smell on the 'bpa-free', 'silicone' rubber seal on the inside as well as the rubber exterior smell awful and your drink smells and tastes like it as well.
