42" Emmond Mid-Century Modern Round Dining Table Natural/White - Threshold™

It is a nice table, but it scratches super easily it bubbles if water is on it and honestly, it’s only a table for looks. I really wanted to enjoy this table but unfortunately I have to send it back because of its lack of durability.

Beautiful, but the tabletop scratches SOOO easily. My watch, ring and phone all scratched it immediately after building it. Returning as this has apparently been an ongoing issue for years and Target isn't fixing the issue.

The table top is too easily damaged.

Sure design looks good but top stains easily. You have to clean it very often. It would be great it was a stone or marble top. Also at 42" is bit smaller in person.

This a beautiful table, however I would recommend a glass protector. This white top picks up every little scratch and discolors easily. Also, the table was not level and I had to put a little block under one leg.

It’s a good table for a starter apartment. You can definitely tell that it’s not from CB2 or West Elm so if you’re looking for a higher end looking table this may not be it. The only major problem I had was the top would stain pretty easily, I used a magic eraser and got 90% of the stains off but any little spill or mess would show up.

Beautiful table, slightly wobbly, but I think it is because I didn’t use an electric drill, All I had was a screwdriver to build.

Exactly what we were looking for, and better quality than we were expecting. Easy to assemble, and all parts were in good shape when the package arrived. Due to other reviews, we’ve been pretty vigilant about using coasters and placemats to avoid any scratching - so far, so good!

I’ve had this table for a about two months and it looks great! The annoying part is that it’s been covered almost the entire time and it already has scratches all over it. Not worth the money.

I got this dining table for my new apt. I had seen some reviews about easy scratching but decided to buy it as it was 50% off. I have to say it really looks amazing in my space. I got Copley dining chairs to go with it and the combination is perfect! I just love the look. The table is sturdy, better quality than I was expecting. The assembly was pretty easy. I could do it alone in about 45min. The only reason I did not give this product 5 starts is because the easy scratching is true. I noticed the first scratch in the first 10 min I used it and realized it was due to my ring. For the price I paid it is worth it! I will try putting a coat of clear enamel as suggested in previous reviews and will see if it works.

Awesome mid century modern piece. It cleans up/wipes down easily, seems like it can take some abuse. Easy to build and solid.

As great as the table looks it doesn't hold up well. A chunk of the inside of the leg that connects to the tabletop has broken causing the table to wobble. I reached out to the manufacture after a suggestion per Target Customer Service hoping to purchase a single new leg to fix to the table. No such luck JLA Home was rude and informed they don't do replacement parts.

amazing family table. with 2 little kids it has seen its contact with crayons, markers, strawberry juice (which stains), but I have always been able to wash it clean. love this for our family of 4.

3.5 stars. I like how this table looks quite a lot, and it was easy enough to assemble even by myself. However, when I flipped it over I realized it does not sit fully level despite me maneuvering it so that the middle trestle is perfectly level with the angle of the legs. It's an easy enough fix to put something under the shortest leg, but for a $400 table I was expecting a bit better out of the box. I am also noticing the same silver scratches that other reviewers have mentioned, but they're pretty subtle and I don't mind adding a rustoleum coat, though again, would have liked this taken care of before I opened the box. Aesthetically and functionally though I am very happy! The wood feels solid and I am excited to add my chairs and fit a cute bench, which should work because of the trestle rather than it having four legs.

This table is BEAUTIFUL. I am giving it 3 stars instead of 1 just because it really is a beautiful table design-wise. I could not find a table that I liked better than this one, even ones that were double the price. We had the bistro table version of this and decided to get the larger size once we moved from an apartment to a house. I saw that there were a lot of negative reviews due to the tabletop scratching so easily, but I ignored them because we never had this problem with the bistro table and found that the tabletop was incredibly durable. However, once we assembled this table, it took less than an hour to realize what everyone was talking about. My jacket, wedding ring, a soda can, a plate, a fork...everything that touched the table put a silver scratch on the tabletop. It couldn't be wiped off with spray and a paper towel. The only way it would go away was to take my finger and rub on the scratch really hard until it disappeared. We debated for a few hours on what to do. We LOVED the look but knew this table just wasn't practical. Here comes the solution! I think it is ridiculous that I had to do this and feel like a discount should be issued, but it did solve all of our problems. I purchased Rust-oleum's Matte Clear Enamel spray paint and sprayed the tabletop 4 times. The table is now absolutely perfect. NOTHING scratches it, and it is now the perfect table and we are in love. The manufacturers definitely need to add there own protective topcoat to this table. However, this worked great for us and we are thrilled to be table to keep our table for a long time! Here's how I applied the topcoat: - Take your table assembled outside or in a well-ventilated area - You may want to wear a mask while spray painting - We purchased a $3 tarp and taped it to the bottom of the table all the way around to avoid spraying the legs - Spray very light applications and allow them to dry for 20-30 minutes in between each application - I applied 4 coats just to be safe, but 3 may be good enough for you - Don't forget to spray the sides and not just the top! - Make sure there isn't a lot of dust floating in the air or it will be spray painted on permanently. You could allow longer drying time and *lightly* sand in between coats with a 400 grit sandpaper. We did not do this so I am not sure if it would scratch the top. But it shouldn't after the first coat has dried if you sand it very lightly. There were a few specks of dust that I had to get out in between coats with tweezers.

Beautiful table. Perfect size for where I wanted it to go. Using as a game/puzzle table in our family room.

This table looks beautiful and looks very high end. But as other reviewers have mentioned table top is very high maintenance. It scratches and stains very easily. I am still deciding whether to keep it and apply some top coat because it looks very nice in my space.
