Sent these to my grandboys for their toys. It was reported by their Mom that the batteries had a 2009 expiration date (Dec. 2017 order date) and looked like they were about to explode. However, she took them to the local Target (nearest Clover, SC) for an exchange.see moreof the reviewer's review

With the negative reviews of these batteries in mind, I ordered anyway. When the order arrived, I checked expiration dates on the two packages of Energizer AAA batteries. The first expires in March 2023. The second EXPIRED in March 2017. Needless to say, one will be returned and either exchanged for...see moreof the reviewer's review
